1. 21 April 2015
Dear Sir or Madam,
Ekaterina Enyutina has been volunteering for Age UK Kensington and Chelsea from
December 2012 and will complete her visits end of July 2015. Ekaterina’s role has been
as a language coach which involves visiting someone at their own home, for two hours
each week to practice speaking or writing English.
The lady Ekaterina visits lives alone, is socially isolated and English is not her first
language. As a result of the visits, the lady’s English has significantly improved which
has given her confidence when shopping, visiting the doctors, making appointments etc.
As well as the teaching element there is a social aspect to the visits. Because of her
lack of English the lady was quite isolated, so Ekaterina provided a level of social
interaction as well because she was able to converse with the lady in Russian. She
developed an excellent relationship with the older person and has been exceptionally
committed to her visits. (most of our young volunteers only volunteer for 1 year)
If you require any more information about Ekaterina’s volunteering at Age UK
Kensington and Chelsea, please do not hesitate to contact me on 020 8969 9105 or

Age UK Kensington and Chelsea is a small local organisation which uses volunteers to
