To Whom It May Concern:
Re: Employment Reference for Ms. Eimear De Burca
Ms. De Burca has been employed with the Phoenix Stores for five years, from July 4th
2011 through September 27th
2016, and has held three positions during her time with us.
We find Eimear to be a person with a pleasant disposition who carries out her duties
effectively and efficiently. She is hard working, diligent, always willing to assist
wherever needed, and a pleasure to work with.
Eimear joined us from Ireland and she quickly gained a solid reputation amongst her
peers as a highly intelligent, respected professional, as well as making patients feel
comfortable and gaining their trust.
On May 15th
2013, she was promoted to the position of Pharmacist Manager at the
Collectors Hill Apothecary. As our largest dispensing pharmacy and second largest store,
Eimear excelled during her two year tenure in this senior level position. Eimear displayed
confidence of ability to accomplish goals and was adaptive to other team member’s
personalities and values. She accepted responsibilites for decisions, actions, and results.
She encouraged a culture of accountability throughout the store and eagerly accepted
challenging tasks and projects.
Eimear was promoted to Chief Pharmacist and Operations Manager on August 5th,
among a strong field of candidates. In this role Eimear consistently demonstrated creative
thinking skills in various situations. She channeled creative ideas and concepts into
practical applications for example campaigning to grow the company’s product lines and
helped to modernize the dispensing and reporting process. She played also an integral
part in new store designs with fresh ideas and introduced a consultation room, as well as
a health kiosk for customers in our newest pharmacy.
Eimear sets high standards of ethics for herself which showed throughout her finished
work product. Her team responded well to her firm but fair approach. She was always
willing to try different things and does not avoid or fear change.
2. The company enjoyed representation on the Pharmacy Council as she has served as an
executive member for three years, always acting in the best interest of her profession as
well as protecting the welfare of patients. She also provided input on submissions to the
Bermuda Health Council on matters of Bermuda’s pharmaceutical infrastucture.
Eimear is thoughtful and respectful when communicating with others. She speaks
persuasively and convincingly, is effective in asking for the business and closing deals.
This was a valuable asset to us as she travelled on behalf of the company as a buyer and
and senior executive.
From the first time I met Eimear, and in the five years following when she worked for
me, I recognise she possesses a broad spectrum of transferrable skills, great vision and
entrepreneurial spirit. She proved herself as being reliable, conscientious and trustworthy.
I like her energetic enthusiasm and passion for pharmacy, forward thinking and “Can-
Do” attitude for new projects and improving existing procedures. I admire her ability to
remain calm in very stressful situations.
It was always a pleasure working with Eimear and if past performance is any indication
of future success, Eimear will be a superb employee in your organization. She will be
greatly missed but we wish her every success in her future endeavours.
