LEMMENS & LEMMENS VOF
Lemmens & Lemmens V.O.F. was founded on the
need to deal with the male restroom visit in a more
environmentally friendly way. From this need we
started researching different options to achieve
this. After careful study, our choice fell on
anhydrous urinals, particularly the urinals from
"System ERNST®".
The choice of "System ERNST®" urinals was easy,
given the ease of installation and the wide variety
of models.
In 2014 Lemmens & Lemmens V.O.F. acquired the
exclusive rights for all "System ERNST®" - products in
the Netherlands, Belgium and Slovakia.
Meanwhile, we've also added soap dispensers,
seat cleaners, partition and rear walls to our range.
INTRODUCTION
SYSTEM ERNST®
As early as 1892 the Swiss engineer Fritz Ernst
invented the anhydrous urinal. After which he
founded the F. ERNST Engineering AG in 1894. At
the time, the main reason for installing his system
was the overwhelming urine odor, which mainly
occur in public washrooms. This system successfully
prevents odor nuisance in washrooms.
In addition to the prevention of odor nuisance the
"System ERNST®", is nowadays mainly installed for
the following reasons:
- Environmentally friendly
- Cost-saving
- No maintenance & costs of flushing systems
- No deposits / residues in the pipes (urinary stones)
These urinals are being installed in Germany and
Switzerland since 1958, and there are now about
200,000 urinals in use since the 1910s.
Only 2,5% of the world water supply is fresh / drinking water, yet we
still flush thousands of liters through the toilet...

The System-ERNST® principle
1. BARRIER FLUID
This version uses a biodegradable barrier fluid
which is introduced into the siphon (0,02L). This
liquid is lighter than urine, filters it, and finally
floats on it. This quality prevents odor nuisance
as the sewerage gases are stopped by the
barrier fluid. This barrier fluid also prevents the
decomposition of urine due to its disinfectant
action.
2. MEMBRANE TECHNOLOGY
This user-friendly version has a unique hygiene
capsule in the siphon, which assures a
permanent bacteria decrease, due to its
antibacterial agents. Underneath the hygiene
capsule you'll find a durable membrane which
passes urine and under pressure. Sewerage
gases and over pressure from the drain are
effectively stopped.
3. THE NEW KI-SYSTEM
This current system is a further development of
the membrane technology. Now, due to a law
of physics, advanced waterless urinals are now
easy to use for everyone.
"Adhesion: the attraction between particles of
different substances."
Two contiguous membranes let the urine flow in
one direction, and then close the outlet airtight.

System ERNST® KI-System
KI-CLOSING SYSTEM WITH UNIVERSAL VALVE
FOR ANHYDROUS URINALS
Various usability issues with different anhydrous /
waterless urinal systems have encouraged us to
develop a completely new user anhydrous /
waterless urinal.
THE UNIQUE KI-VENTIL-SYSTEM!
The system works by means of the membrane
technology. The attraction between two
opposing membranes let the urine flow in one
direction and closes off the drain air tight. Odors
from the drainpipes will have no chance to get
free. The KI-Ventil also works with various
pressure differences in the drains. Because the
membranes are facing each other, foreign
substances such as hairs do not affect the
operation. They are simply flushed out by the
urine. Moreover, the KI-Ventil is very durable. In
normal use: 8,000 to 12,000 visits. In a higher use
even up to 20,000 times. This saves about 24 m3
to 60 m3 of water per valve.

impossible for nasty smells to
escape.

KI-bioactiv-Cleaner, the biological
cleaner
– voor anhydrous urinals

KI-BIOACTIV-CLEANING CONCENTRATE
1:20 diluted with water this cleanser, cleans on a
microbiological basis. It dissects urine remains in
an environmentally friendly way, so there is no
need to rinse with water.
KI-bioactiv-Cleaner, cleans and cars actively
because it eliminates bacteria and ensuing odors.
Micro-organisms decompose organic pollution,
such as urine, without odors.
The stunning cleansing effect of KI-bioactiv-
Cleaner is caused by a very high concentration of
micro organisms: more than
200 million bacterial spores per liter concentrate
ensure hygienic cleaning.
DOSAGE
KI-bioactiv-Cleaner is available in two packages
of 1 and 10 liters. KI-bioactiv-Cleaner in 1:20
dilution with pure water in a spray bottle and
shake well. Apply the diluted cleaner 1 to several
times a day, no wiping or rinsing required!
Durable, ECO-friendly & Cost Effective: KI-bioactiv-Cleaner!
CAUTION!
On the urinal a biofilm layer of bacteria which is
very sensitive is formed. In order to obtain and
maintain a good cleaning effect, it is important
that in combination with the KI-bioactive-Cleaner
no chemical products or other cleaning agents
are used. Should this be the case, then after a
thorough cleaning of the urinal a new biofilm
layer must be rebuilt.

The urinal rear walls are ideal for covering old
construction and renovation holes in the wall.
Our rear walls will give your interior a fresh look.
You can easily mount them to the wall by either
screwing or glueing them.
The weight is around 1,8 kg.
