This document discusses corporate social responsibility initiatives that a company could implement. It describes initiatives like partnering with charitable platforms Telco Together and ImpactPay that allow employees to donate skills/funds and track their impact. The document also suggests internal fundraising drives like a gift drive and participating in community walks/runs. The goal is to positively impact society through CSR, boost employee engagement, and build a sustainable brand.
2. “Organizations are no longer assessed based only on traditional metrics such as financial performance,
or even the quality of their products or services. Rather, organizations today are increasingly judged on
the basis of their relationships with their workers, their customers, and their communities, as well as
their impact on society at large”

4. Paying it forward
Make an impact & build a socially responsible brand
Today, companies with global mindsets are celebrated as philanthropic thought
leaders. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives increase media visibility and
help to build a modern and sustainable brand, in turn driving growth and reputation, as
well as employee and client engagement. Clients, investors and customers alike value
businesses they can believe in and stand behind. A study of 22,000 investment
professionals found that 78 percent have increased their investments in CSR-focused
firms. (Schroders, Global investor study 2017)
Foster a positive organisational culture
Companies dedicated to serving their communities are more likely to attract and retain
valuable and engaged employees. A strong CSR program increases a firm's inimitability
and competitive advantage; investing in human capital fosters an organisational
culture of knowledge and trust. CSR engenders goodwill amongst teams, aligns
strategy to organisational values, and motivates employees to increase their of
productivity.

9. Solving problems around:Telco's Match-making events
Telco Together’s Skills Exchange involves
‘match-making’ events held in Melbourne
and Sydney. They give charities an
opportunity to pitch a small technological
problem to a room full of tech specialists,
who then use some of their volunteering
leave to help solve the issue.
These events offer a unique opportunity for
volunteers to help charities fix relatively
simple problems or make small
improvements, enabling organisations to
continue to affect positive change in the
community.
