The document outlines a multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary performance task for senior high school teachers focused on financial literacy. Students will identify a financial societal problem impacting a local community, research the issue, analyze data using mathematical concepts, and propose a feasible solution in a video presentation applying lessons from various subjects. The goal is for students to solve real-world problems by interpreting data and recommending solutions using an inter-disciplinary approach.

MULTIdisciplinal Performance Task
The students will make a video presentation introducing the financial societal problem of a specific city. They will gather data regarding the
problem which leads them to propose a feasible solution. The students must present a rich insight in their video presentation consists of the
subject matter regarding business mathematics and logic.
To complete the task, you are expected to:
a. Go to a specific city or local government.
b. Determine what kind of financial societal problem present in that area.
c. Prepare a financial statement to explain the present problem.
d. Analyze the data using finance-related tools and concepts like amortization schedule and financial instruments from banks,
government agencies, and private institutions.
e. Draft a feasible solution based on the results of the analysis and the context of the problems.
f. Prepare a video presentation to disseminate information on financial literacy.
g. Answer questions in front of a panel of teachers that will evaluate their work.
Transfer Goal is the same with that of the
INTRAdisciplinal Performance Task
In the long run, the SHS Gen Math students will be able to identify and solve real life
problems in the community by modeling and interpreting data using functions, recognizing,
and applying appropriate solutions to improve financial situations that will lead to a logical
solution for the community.
Performance scenario maintains the inclusion of the
4 exits of the K to12 Program but MUST be analyzed
and solved in 3 or more lenses (i.e., using the
theories, concepts, and methods of each discipline)
Senior High School students will be able to demonstrate research and problem-solving skills
through data gathering and analyzing. Students will hone their potential through engaging
in a community problem. The models will be solved to identify appropriate solutions to the
issues and feasible solutions shall be recommended. The video recommendation will be
presented and defended by students in front of several teachers to further polish the output
they had created.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic's effects on the economy, many people lost their jobs, some lost their
source of income, and some businesses decided to close. The state of a family's finances is
significantly impacted. The students will take on the role of financial educators in financial advocacy
groups, entrusted with promoting financial literacy to raise awareness and encourage wise decision-
making.

2023 In-Service Training for Senior High School Teachers
The students will act as guest lecturer who are tasked with advancing financial literacy to increase
awareness and promote prudent decision-making.
Employment
The students will act as team leaders in a financial advocacy group who is tasked to lead a survey on
the state of financial literacy in a municipality. They will deliver thorough findings, effectively
communicate the outcomes, and suggest potential courses of action to address the problem areas.
Entrepreneurship
The students will act as consultants who are tasked to create financial plans for organizations and
individuals, presented through tables and graphs and advice clients to help them best manage their
investments
Middle Level Skills (Tech-Voc)
The students will take on the role of bookkeepers and present various investment options available
to the institution. They can suggest the most workable option.
LENSES: Design principles, guidelines and components for informational texts, images, and videos

Senior High School students will be able to identify the existing societal problem which can be in
collaboration of Community Engagement, Solidarity and Citizenship. The learnings of the students
from the research subjects can applied in gathering data and researching in terms of problem.
Students will be able to present a data(s) through analyzing and presenting the result of the data
which their learning from General Mathematics and Statistics can apply in this matter. Through
creative video presentation they can present their proposed solutions that will persuade their
viewers to engage with their project, in collaboration with Personal Development and Media,
