Organic chemistry is the study of carbon-containing
molecules' structure, characteristics, content, reactions, and
manufacture. Organic chemistry was once limited to the
study of molecules created by living organisms, but it has
since expanded to encompass human-made chemicals (e.g., plastics).

Organic compounds have given several fuels, such as diesel, petrol,

preparations of proteins (natural and recombinant antibodies, hormones,

prevent it from occurring.

understand organic chemistry?
 For a firefighter, this means knowing what type of
extinguisher to use for a given type of fire.
 For a pastry maker, knowing how much of a specific
ingredient to use and how to combine ingredients to achieve
a good-tasting pastry is essential.
 For an environmental health inspector, knowing the impacts
of various substances released into the environment is
essential.
 For a dental assistant, knowing how to properly combine
chemicals in the production of dental amalgam is essential.
