The document proposes a zero no-load power AC/DC adapter for electronic equipment with embedded batteries. The adapter uses the embedded battery as a signal to detect when a load is connected. When connected to a load, the adapter operates normally like a conventional adapter. However, when disconnected from the load, the entire adapter is turned off, allowing it to achieve zero no-load power consumption. The proposal includes loss analysis and experimental results from a 65W prototype to validate the concept.
