has had to acknowledge another problem with one of its

It has been reported that the Surge can cause a rash for some
users and has advised people with skin irritation to take a
break from wearing the device.

The Fitbit Surge costs $250 (£199) and was launched only 4
months ago but not long afterwards, users started posting
photos of skin rashes on social media sites, especially on
Twitter using the hashtag #fitbitrash.
Fitbit previously had to recall its Force wristband for similar
rash complaints. The company blamed nickel for causing the
skin irritations, despite some wearers reporting they had no
allergic reactions beforehand.

Fitbit suggests removing your wearable device for an hour after
extended wear.
While Fitbit devices are water resistant, it interestingly recommends
users not to keep a wet band on your skin for extended periods of
time.
Fitbit provides top tips for users on its website to keep ‘your skin
happy’. It recommends regularly cleaning your Fitbit device and wrist,
particularly after exercising or using toiletries like soaps and lotions.
