Seasorb, a combined alginate and carboxymethyl cellulose dressing, was used to treat split thickness skin graft donor sites in 12 patients. On average, donor sites healed within 5.25 days with no pain, bleeding, or infections reported. Patients were highly satisfied with Seasorb's comfort and its ability to expedite healing. While more research is needed, the study findings suggest Seasorb is an effective and safe dressing for skin graft donor sites.
