Task 1.1. Governance, coordination and project management. (89 PM)
Establish the appropriate governance structure for the project, as laid down in the Consortium
Agreement.
Appointment of the
ESCAPE General Assembly (E-GA),
ESCAPE Executive Board (E-EB),
ESCAPE Management Support Team (E-MST) and
ESCAPE External Advisory Board (E-EAB).
Establish an “Open-science ESCAPE-ESFRI supervisory Committee” (OE2C).
Develop a network of intra-project communication channels between all WPs, the E-MST and the E-EB.
Project Governance
Organise, prepare and minute meetings of the E-GA, E-EB, E-MST and E-EAB.
Oversee the implementation of the decisions of the E-GA, E-EB, and advice of the E-EAB.
Update and maintain the Consortium Agreement.
Organise prepare and minute meetings of the OE2C.

Project Coordination
Ensure close internal cooperation and direct engagement with the various ESFRI projects’
representatives.
Organise and run the consultation and coordinate the agreed actions of the OE2C.
Organise and coordinate, in cooperation with E-EB, a “FAIR data management competence desk”
addressed to all the ESFRI projects and providing support to the definition and execution of their
own data-management plans in agreement with FAIR principles and coherently with the EOSC
agenda implementation (networking with the representatives of the ESCAPE ESFRI and other RIs is
critical).
Establish and supervise the application of the EOSC general policy for service catalogue settings (in
coordination with WP3 and WP5)
Follow-up all EOSC regulations set up by the EOSC projects under EOSC-Governance.

Visibly promote ESCAPE to the global, European and national communities by attending relevant
meetings, international conference, including symposia on the EOSC implementation and making
high quality presentations.
Represent and promote ESCAPE in interface with strategy and policy bodies such as the EC, ESFRI
committees, EOSC-hub strategy committee, e-IRG, Open Science Policy Platform, RDA and the High-
Level Expert Group on EOSC.
Coordinate the implementation of the “ESCAPE Test Science Projects” (E-TSP).

Project Management:
Distribute EC funding to the partners based on the the Consortium Agreement.
Maintain overview of the ESCAPE project in terms of overall staff effort, including subcontractors.
Implement appropriate and transparent reporting structures within and between the various WPs.
Monitor milestones and deliverables, chasing any outstanding actions/deadlines.
Guarantee intra-project communication and technical coordination among all WPs.
Prepare, compile and generate all relevant project reports (including financial data) for all major
external and internal stakeholders (e.g. the EC, E-GA, E-EB etc.).
Generate a Data Management Plan that addresses all aspects of ESCAPE dissemination activities.

Project Management:
Establish, maintain and update the:
Central risk register, incl. entries for contingency and risk mitigation,
Intellectual Property (IP) register,
List of all publications, open source software contributions and other ESCAPE products,
Global registry of ESCAPE partners, third parties, subcontractors, industry contacts and SMEs.
List of external events, forums, workshops and conferences for ESCAPE visibility and external cooperation.
Registry of ESCAPE external presentations and communications.
A grand Integrating Event will be held to showcase the final results of the ESCAPE project and
engage with all relevant stakeholders including EOSC bodies.
Coordinate the editing of the final ESCAPE Blueprint document.
Guaranteeing that a Diversity and Equity Champion supports ESCAPE partners “in adopting the
established London Code of Conduct for meetings, where the represented facilities and
organisations do not have their own more comprehensive codes.”

Task 1.2 Dissemination, innovation and networking programme (22 PM)
WP1 will be continuously in step with the progress being made by the other WPs across the project,
and will seek opportunities to circulate information on the overall success of our programme.
External project networking and dissemination of the ESCAPE results
Attend high-level events and meetings, where ESCAPE results can be showcased to external
stakeholders.
Foster cooperation with all relevant organisations, including other Clusters, EC consortia, EC H2020
projects, major e-infrastructures, industrial stakeholders, other research infrastructures, national
funding agencies, etc.
Ensure close cooperation with the EOSC-hub technical coordination
Run the ESCAPE FAIR data management competence desk, networking with RIs.
Propose and plan potential innovation actions with industries.
Plan, support and coordinate the ESCAPE participation in external events
Support co-localisation of open events with those delivered by the different ESCAPE WPs.
