In 1995, Phillip Anschultz and his Anschultz entertainment group (AEG)
bought and acquired the then-bankrupt LA Kings franchise from the NHL's
Board of Governors. Over the course of 19 years, the new owners helped
rebuild a winning professional franchise culture by embracing the idea of
building from within their organization. One of the more prominent
facilitators in building a new winning culture for the Kings was constructing
a state of the art arena and Entertainment complex in Downtown LA to help
market the team to a broader range of fans. Moreover, through making wise
and economic trades/draft picks over the years to improve their investment,
the Kings franchise turned in a professional hockey team that consistently
contends for a Stanley Cup title on a yearly basis even winning two
championships in three years in the early 2010's. All in all, the AEG's
personnel and location modifications to the Kings helped market the team as
a winning NHL franchise that players want to play for, in addition to,
broadening the team's fan base, and increasing the organization's cost value.

time hockey-playing children ages 5 to 9 build character, become a team
