1. Dr. Kieran Slevin is an interventional spine specialist & visionary physician, serving the New Jersey,
Pennsylvania and Delaware regions. He is the co-founder and CEO of a leading multi-specialty,
healthcare practice.
Dr. Slevin is board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. He is a member of the Pennsylvania
Medical Society, the Medical Society of New Jersey, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists and
the Spine Intervention Society. Dr. Slevin proudly supports various all-important good causes. Away from
his work and charitable efforts, he enjoys cooking, running, sports, and travel. He was born and raised in
Donegal, Ireland, and now lives in Bucks County.
Academic Background
Dr. Kieran completed medical school at University College Dublin, Ireland.
After graduating from University College Dublin, Dr. Slevin continued his medical education at the
University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Anesthesiology & Critical
Care as well as a fellowship in Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine at the school between 2000 and
2006. From 2006 to 2011, Dr. Slevin served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology
& Critical Care, Assistant Director of Acute Pain Services across the University of Pennsylvania Health
2. System as well as Assistant Director of the Interventional Pain and Spine fellowship program. While
serving as Assistant Professor at Penn he cultivated his leadership skills and was elected to the Penn
Senate Faculty Executive Committee as well as to University Council. There he worked with senior
University leadership and advised the Provost and President of the University on issues such as faculty IP
ownership, the greening of the Penn campus in West Philadelphia as well as navigating the University
endowment throughout the ‘08 financial crisis.

3. Founded in 2014, North American Spine and Pain now employs more than 120 staff in three states. This
team sees over 150,000 patients annually and is committed to setting the gold standard of care in
Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. North American spine and pain provide specialized care in
degenerative and herniated discs, extremity pain, nerve injuries, osteoarthritis, sciatica, spinal stenosis,
sports-related trauma, sprains, strains, and tendinitis.

Dr. Kieran Slevin is double-board certified in anesthesiology and interventional pain medicine. He is a
member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Medical Society of New Jersey, the American Society of
Anesthesiologists and has served as the Spine Intervention Society's appointed American Medical
Association delegate. Dr. Slevin has also sat on the Spine Intervention Society's board of directors and
now serves on the board of directors of PartnerCare.

from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine’s Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care,
Dr. Slevin has undergone additional training focused on medical acupuncture, nutritional medicine,
trauma life support, and has also completed advanced cardiac and trauma life support training alongside
the American Heart Association.

Charitable Involvement
Dr. Kieran Slevin proudly supports numerous charities, nonprofit organizations, and other good causes
focusing primarily on animal welfare, arts & culture, economic empowerment, poverty alleviation, and
social services. Among these charities is PHL Cares, a nonprofit organization, working to address
homelessness in westernmost Philadelphia. He is a proud member of the board of directors of PHL
Cares. Dr. Slevin has also established and co-founded a number of good causes of his own. These
include the Slevin Family Entrepreneurship Fund at the University of Pennsylvania. The Slevin Family
Entrepreneurship Fund helps medical students engage with entrepreneurship and medicine-focused
startups. He has also co-founded the Anand-Slevin Fund for Entrepreneurship at the University of
Pennsylvania. The fund supports business, science, and medical school training for entrepreneurial
students who otherwise may not have the means to attend a private Ivy League university.
4. Personal Life
Dr. Kieran grew up in Donegal, Ireland. Donegal sits at the mouth of the River Eske and Donegal Bay,
overlooked by the Blue Stack Mountains. The town is a hub for cultural, musical, and poetic gatherings.
As a boy, Dr. Slevin represented his country as part of Ireland's international team in track and field as a
junior athlete. This has played a major role in his love for sports. When Dr. Slevin is not working, he
enjoys traveling, exploring the continents, and collecting socks.
Alongside sports and travel, Dr. Slevin is similarly passionate about cooking and long-distance running. A
lifelong dog lover who has always had dogs as pets since childhood, he currently resides with his three
dogs in Bucks County, PA.
