Good ________________________, I am Dr. Arayan Richard Jenkins and I am an Instructor of Children.
Most if not all my children are over the AGE of 25 years.
We’ve all heard the saying “ How can someone who doesn’t have children tell us how to raise our children!?” Well I do have Children, however the same applies when it comes to Education.
Well, most of my observation have been in what the ends results have become around the world! That is to say, I deal with your children after you have educated them and I’ve found a mixed bag of social anomalies.
In todays very fast paced society, we need to SLOW things down, so many times children ARE left behind, simply because of what has been framed as “Mental Deficiencies”
Logic, What is it? They say just Dictionary.com says: “A particular method of persuasiveness OR a particular method of Reasoning that is understood by the listener. – and here is where the problem lies!? Just because the Teacher hasn’t understood the methodology used by the student we say they have a deficiency, when what we should be doing is allowing the student to follow their methodology to the point where we see a result.
LOGIC has no grounding in FACT LOGIC is founded in Results “Just because you don’t know where I’m going, Doesn’t mean I will never get there!”
Therefore it’s not my LOGIC that is at fault it is my procedure.
Problem – Solution – Result! In either Science and/or Mathematics (CHANGE SLIDE)
It’s as simple as watching your children, watch what they do in an educational setting, give them a problem and ask them to solve it.
It doesn’t really matter the age, each child will give interesting solutions to any given problem.
It is not the fault of the child if the educator can not accept the solution, without explaining why the solution isn’t valid.
Our society has become predicated to dismissing creative solutions without explanation and there lies the fault!
We also keep saying “Mistakes are bad” we can’t afford to make mistakes, so as we get older we turn away from being creative in our solution finding because we’re afraid to “Make A Mistake”

I wonder what would happen if we simply gave the classrooms back to the students?
I’ve found that Children fall into 4 major Learning Style Groups:
Visually:
To better assist visual learners, teachers can do a number of things, such as: Use visual aids like pictures, charts, diagrams, or maps during a lecture. Avoid activities that rely on rote memorization. Group visual learners together for collaborative learning activities
Auditorily:
As the name suggests, Auditory learners learn best while they are actively listening. Auditory learners find conventional study practices, such as making notes directly from a textbook, not terribly effective. They much prefer to ingest information through audio or video, or by discussing a topic
Kinesthetically:
They learn best when they can move around and engage their small and large muscle groups. Oftentimes, kinaesthetic learners feel their way of learning isn't as good because they can't “sit and do the work,” but there are lots of ways to maximize their learning style
Auditorily-Digital:
Are a strange bunch and there aren’t too many of them. They use Kinesthetic Communication (Body language) to determine Fact and Process, Generally they enjoy a lot of noise around them when they are learning something, meaning they “If Interested.” are very difficult to distract, they can also often get harmed by the outside world because they are focusing and everything else is just noise. And often lose track of time. They can and do take on the other traits meaning ‘Visual & Auditory” as a means of gathering information.
It is believed that everyone does this form of learning at times, however those A-D people are always like this.
Take the ‘Sticky note’ attached to the book given you and stick it directly to your forehead just above your eyes and under your hairline.
With the pen or pencil provided I want you to write as neatly as possible “I Love You” on that ‘Sticky Note’ whilst it is attached to your Forehead.
There are 4 groups here:
Group 1: wrote “ I love you” as you would read it and it was neatly written.
These people, think and offer solutions for the other person and they do their best to help the receiver understand the solution.
Group 2: wrote “I love you” as you would have read however it isn’t really neat in fact maybe unreadable, yes you are also the types of people that like to help others, you just don’t put too much weight on them understanding your solution and you don’t really offer to help them with your solutions.
Group 3: Wrote I love you backwards, however it was very neat and precisely written. You are the sort of Person that gives your perception of the problem and you derive the solution from how you see the problem, not the way they see it. And you go out of your way to help from your perspective.
Group 4: Wrote “I love you backwards’ and really untidy as well maybe even illegible, You are the sort of person that does care about the problem OR the solution. You may care about the person deeply, however you rarely offer and help to others when it comes to Problem Solving. You maybe good at solving your own situations but not others.
Most of the issues we face today inside classrooms, we as Educators have faced since the onset of formal education in 1821 somewhere in Boston.
The very first school was formally built on April 23, 1635 where Latin and Greek was taught. The governments of the world finally realized that they need to play a part in Education Horace Mann was born in 1796 in Massachusetts and became the Secretary of Education in Massachusetts where he championed an organized and set curriculum of core knowledge for each student Rich or poor
It is argued that The Sumerians had scribal schools or É-Dub-ba soon after 3500BC and that those schools have changed over the years and still operate as of today.
Samaria is what we call modern-day Iraq and Kuwait, the Sumerians moved in and around the Middle East
As for the Modern Schools as we call them today goes to Horace Mann, he set forth his vision for a system of professional teachers who would teach students an organized curriculum of basic content.
(182 years) Wow, so long isn’t it about time!?
