Beautiful, sleek and durable, epoxy terrazzo
floors are a work of art. While the finished
product may look decorative, it could not be
done without the help of Terrazzo installers.

The Work Environment
Terrazzo Installers travel to job sites daily to
complete projects for schools, hospitals,
government centers and other locations.
Due to the nature of the work environment,
the installers must wear protective gear and
safety equipment to prevent exposure to
contaminants, stress, high decibel sounds
and other hazardous conditions

CUT DIVIDER STRIPS
Terrazzo installers will cut divider strips and
place them into the terrazzo base. The
divider strips help prevent cracks in the floor
and separates changes in color, to form
desired designs or patterns.

Add Marble Chips
Terrazzo is known for its great selection of
aggregates. From mother of pearl, recycled
glass and different colored stones, terrazzo
installers can blend these marble chips with
the epoxy for a beautiful result.

MEASURE INGREDIENTS
Terrazzo installers will measure precise
amounts of ingredients according to
formulas and specifications, and combine
them into a mixer.

Level Out TERRAZZO MIX
Terrazzo Installers spread, level and smooth
the terrazzo mixture to form bases and
finished surfaces. Installers use hand and
power tools like trowels, screeds and floats
to create an even surface.

Terrazzo Installers will grind the terrazzo
surface with a power grinder to smooth out
the materials.

Polish Surface
Terrazzo Installers will polish the terrazzo
surface with a polishing machine. Afterwards,
the installer will wash the polished surface
and apply a sealer and curing agent, using a
brush or spray.

Chip away pieces of flooring using a chisel
Clean the installation site and materials
Transport materials to and from the job site
Fill cracks and holes with grout or slurry
