for mobile phlebotomy in Tucson. This laboratory could perform moderate complexity
tests (coagulation, CBC and chem. Profiles) as well as highly complex tests (Natural Killer
Cell Function, 36 marker flow cytometry profiles, amino acid profiles and non-FDB
approved cytokine testing.) I was able to coordinate immunologists and physicians
internationally to use the facility.
• Laboratory coordinated with FBI, local postal officials, U of A State Police, Pima County
Sheriff’s Department, and Tucson Police to perform primary evaluation of “powder
samples” during the anthrax outbreak in 2001.
