Dizzy Blonde Productions is a small family run business based in Fleet, Hampshire, UK, offering live sound
reinforcement and lighting services.
We are able to provide varying sizes of sound and lighting systems, tailored to the size of your event and can
accommodate solo artists, duo’s or full bands at all levels of ability from amateur to professional. Our largest sound rig is
based on the RCF HDL-20 line array system and state of the art Allen & Heath GLD-80 digital mixing system. This
package ensures high quality sound with excellent coverage for up to around 3000 people.
We can also provide a full range of backline, stage monitors (with up to 6 individual monitor mixes), microphones, DI
box’s, stands, power distribution and all the necessary hardware to run an entire stage.
Dizzy Blonde Productions have enjoyed the privilege and have taken great pleasure from working with some very

A brief overview
2014 This year, we invested in a new FOH system based on the acclaimed RCF HDL-20 line array. Its first outing at
“Fleurfest” in July blew us away with the sound quality. We also added a second Allen & Heath digital mixer to
our arsenal in the shape of the QU-24. The QU provides full control of the signal, 24 inputs & more outputs than
you can shake a stick at. It also has the flexibility to use conventional XLR multicore or Cat 5 hookups – all in a
compact easy to manage package.
Continuing our relationship with !daft! into 2014 kept us busy with weddings, pub gigs, corporate and outdoor
events, including another Blues & Royals dinner in Windsor and another charity “Laughing Stock” mini festival for
John & Linda Jagger.
A fantastic Basingstoke Live event this year saw us teaming up with the Eurohire crew once again to work the
“Amped” stage hosted by Jon Lovegrove of Rockbitch promotions. Once again, we also supplied the entire PA for
the “unplugged” stage.

We also had the very great pleasure of working with fashion designer & “I’m a celebrity” star David Emanuel and
guests, in support of two very memorable charity events at the Jolly Gardner in Holyport during December.
2013 Continuing our relationship with !daft!, 2013 saw a large number of weddings, pub gigs and some larger events.
We took part in an exciting film project with !daft! for a Belgian TV game show.

A successful outdoor community festival in Slough with !daft! promotions, required our large rig, complete stage
setup and stage management. The same setup was also used for FleurFest at the Fleur De Lis in Stokenchurch
which was another roaring success with around 2000 people attending.
Of a number of prestigious events in discussion for Richard Alexander of Ora Productions, the “Smooth jazz
evening” with Peter White at the Calcot Hotel Reading was particularly enjoyable.
Yet another great year for Basingstoke Live and our ongoing relationship with Eurohire.

2012 Yet another great year with !daft! proved to be very busy with the addition of two large outdoor events.
Also this year, a very successful, high profile gig for Richard Alexander of ORA Productions.
2012 was the year we went digital and invested in the new Allen & Heath GLD-80 Digital Mixing System and RCF
NX-12 Active stage monitors.
Basingstoke Live was another success in spite of the weather – we provided an additional complete stage PA
and monitor setup for a new stage.
2011 Our continuing relationship with !daft! into 2011/2012 provided over 50 assorted and enjoyable engagements.
A last minute support gig for Bill Wyman and his Rhythm Kings with !daft! was an unexpected treat and a new
open air mini-fest near Farnborough also proved to be a success.
Another great Basingstoke Live with Eurohire in the 100% MusicTent.
2010 Over 60 private/corporate/public gigs with !daft” during 2010 adding to our list of prestigious venues, including the
Queen’s Stand at Epsom race course, Aldermaston Manor, a number of Crowne Plaza and Devere venues, The
Madjeski Stadium Reading, Household cavalry at Windsor and Bisley Camp to name but a few.
Basingstoke Live was another great success with the Eurohire team.
2009 Entered into exciting long term relationship with Slough based covers band !daft! undertaking an immediate
requirement for providing our sound equipment, lighting and sound engineering services for up to 25
engagements.

2009 Basingstoke Live - 100% Music Tent, sub contracted to sound equipment provider Eurohire as sound engineer
for the 100% Music Tent.
2006-2008 Worked extensively with 100% Music and other promoters in various venues in and around Reading &
Basingstoke (The Light Lounge, The Bang Bar, The Academy, The White Hart, The Face Bar, Basingstoke Live
and The Reading arts centre).
2008 Fleet Carnival – Supplied sound system and sound engineering services for main stage (Featuring the U2 tribute
band “Blood Red Sky”).
2008 Basingstoke Live - 100% Music Tent, supplied sound system & sound engineering services.

2008 Recorded and produced a demo album for the Basingstoke based ska/punk band “Signs of Insanity”.
2007 Recorded and produced our first studio album for local female artist Adele.
2006-2007 Organised and ran Open Mic nights at the Emporium PH in Fleet and the Queen Victoria in Aldershot
and also a series of very successful open-air mini-festivals at the Emporium.
2004-2008 Festival Organiser, main stage sound tech & second stage sound engineer for the Fordham Music
Festival in Cambridgeshire.
2005 Formed Dizzy Blonde Productions when “RetroActive” disbanded following the bass player’s decision
to relocate to Texas.
2005 Private on-going study of Live Sound Reinforcement and recording techniques.
2003-2005 Lead vocalist & Sound Tech for London based 70’s Glam Rock Band “RetroActive”.
2000-2002 Backing vocalist for London based 70’s Glam Rock Band “Retrosexual”.
1973-1984 Ran “Exodus” Mobile Disco with school friends Mike & Neil. We built our first decks, mixer, amps & speaker cabs
from scratch until we could afford to buy pro equipment. (I still have all the records!)
