Assisted the Regional Spectrum Coordinator on several occasions in prioritizing and de-conflicting
civil and military frequency use in compliance with the Department of Commerce and the National
Telecommunications and Information Administration regulations (NTIA).
Proficient in the use of Spectrum XXI, SPEED and knowledgeable in the use of Coalition Joint
Spectrum Management Planning Tool (CJSMPT) and other spectrum management tools.
Expert in the production of Standard Frequency Action Format (SFAF) requests through the use of
Spectrum XXI.
Experienced in the submission of SATCOM spectrum support requests through the Joint Integrated
SATCOM Tool (JIST).

Conducted two Critical Readiness Inspections and assisted with three Staff Assistance Visits to
ensure subordinate commands were in compliance with Army and DOD standards. Integral to the
success of ARCYBER being awarded a Tier II CNDSP certification.
Formally documented policies and procedures for conducting vulnerability scanning and analysis.
Established procedures for daily review of advisories from the DoD, Intelligence Community and
commercial Anti-Malware organizations detailing emerging threats.
Ensured situational awareness by establishing relationships with sister service CND elements for

Network Operations Chief – US Army January 2011 - October 2011
Network Supervisor, Ft Benning, GA 31905
Leader of the Network Operations section for 3rd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Responsible for the
health and welfare of 14 personnel and supervised the daily duties of a deployed team providing
network communications to a Brigade with over 3000 soldiers in a geographical region the size of
Utah while conducting combat operations.
Provided communications over unclassified and secret protocols while utilizing four separate
networks. Supervised and managed a Class C IP space while implementing tunneling and VPN
protocols.
Monitored all network activity on associated systems through the use of software applications such as
NETMAN, SolarWinds and WhatsUpGold.
Familiarized in the use of McAfee’s Host Based Security System (HBSS) enterprise management
suite for defensive cyber operations.
Engineered a communications network to seamlessly incorporate VoIP data, SATCOM systems,
Ground based Radio systems, video data feeds and exchanges assets over a VPN service to facilitate a
dynamic operations center and common operating picture.

Served as a supervisor for a Network Extension element in a forward deployed Network Support
Company supporting the 3rd Brigade Heavy Combat Team, 3rd ID. Responsible for the health,
welfare, training, readiness and professional development of 12 Soldiers and six Noncommissioned
Officers while supervising the accountability, operation and maintenance of one Joint Network Node
(JNN) system, one High Capacity Line of Site (HCLOS) system, one KU Band Satellite Terminal,
four power generation vehicles valued in excess of over $10 million.
Supervised the configuration of a network providing services for over 3000 users. Assisted in the
maintenance of all routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (HIDS, NIDS, PIDS), and
encryption devices for all JNN components.
