Systems Request Introduction
The systemrequestinthisprojectisbasedon a structuredanalysisof SDLC (systemdevelopmentlife
cycle), it is about the developing of an online website of a fancy car rental company which will help
the company, customers, managers and staff to jump into an advanced way of dealing with the car
rental business.
The reason of the given system request is to setup an online /digital product catalogue of the cars
whichinclude the rental rate,detailsof the carsandthe date takenandreturnedwhichwill allow the
customer to submit their inquiries online
Managers will be able to receive a report about the cars category according to the demand in the
market which will help to improve the business productivity.
By implementing such a system the productivity of the employee will improve as well all the
productivity of the company will also be improved by saving the data processing time given by the
customers through the online website and will deliver the required details to customer faster than
before, by storing and processing the data in a centralized database which can be accessed by
employees in variousdepartments. The systemwill be providedwith an efficient information which
will help the managers in taking more accurate decisions

The systemrequestisgeneratedtoupgrade the currentinformational website of the FancyCar
Rental Companywhichprovidesaservice of hiringalongandshort termcar rentin a mediumpriced
cars in the UAE.

Purpose of the Project
The purpose of developinganonlinecarrental managementsystemistoimprovethe serviceprovided
for the customersand makesit easyand on handwhere everand whenevertheywantto hire a car,
the newsystemwillallowthecustomertocheckthe availabilityof the carstheyrequire online without
the needtovisitthe branch and if it is available,customerwill be able topay the amount online and
a copy of the customer final receipt will be generated automatically by the system.
The final reportswill be generatedaswellforthe inventory purpose for the managers for approval.
By implementing this management systemand getting rid of the manually written receipts, the cost
of operating the company will be reduced and the overall performance will improve by cutting back
hard copies as well all cutting back the man power hours, the control of the information will be
strongerand available forall staff bycentralizingthe database andmakesiteasyaccess for thembut
with a strong security features, the performance of the company will be increased due to the
cooperation between the customers and the managers and the staff.
