Two Common Typesof Transmission Line Protection
OverloadProtection
Overload Protection is the most common and the easiest way to protect the transmission line. The
fault current in the event of a short circuit tends to raise to values several times compared to the
maximum load current. The Minimum fault current and maximum load current ratio are chosen as a
criterion for smooth functioning and preventing any possibility of mal-operation during normal
