1. How you think the sound in your chosen example has been produced (production
techniques)
In this track, I can hear Drums, Trombones, Trumpets, an Organ, a Xylophone, and a Clock
Ticking. I can hear the Drums just at about the beginning (00:12 – 00:49) and starting again
(01:09) until it gets back to the middle of the next loop, the Trombones I can hear playing in
the background for this track (00:02 – 00:16 and 00:49 – 01:09). Trumpets I can also hear
(00:16 – 00:49 and 01:09 – 01:39) it seems to be one of the main instruments for this track. I
can hear some clocks ticking (00:49 – 00:57). I can also hear an Organ at the end raising its
pitch (01:24 – 01:34), I can also hear Xylophones (00:19 – 00:39), the Xylophone seems to be
High Pitched.
2. What post-production techniques have been used to create the soundtrack (using subject
specific terminology)
The post-production of this track seems to have had quite a few pitch edits; I can hear some
sort of woodwind instrument that has had its pitch lowered (1:40 – 1:44), I can hear a harp
that sounds like it has had its tone lowered, (0:00 – 0:17) I can also hear some sort of drum
in the background for a majority of the track, it seems to have had its tempo sped up (0:18 –
0:49).
3. How the sound design of your chosen examples might enhance the gaming experience for
audiences.
This can help enhance the gaming experience of audiences by making them feel that it is
only a matter of time to do a certain objective before something bad happens.
