Relocation Conference, May 6–8, 2015
“What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” Truth is, what happens in Las Vegas can be
told to the world, without shame or cover-up, because this vibrant city has so much
more going for it. Its bold, contemporary flair dazzles the eye…and your spirit will
soar as high as the majestic Bellagio fountains when you experience all that Vegas
has to offer.
ENTERTAINMENT
Las Vegas is like one huge concert venue for the biggest names in showbiz. No
matter your tastes, you’ll find a show that suits your style. Mariah Carey opens her
headliner at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on May 6. If you’ve never seen Cirque
du Soleil in person, the one show to see is “Michael Jackson One” at Mandalay Bay.
Then again, you can catch Cirque du Soleil’s worldwide phenomenon, “Zarkana,” at
ARIA Resort & Casino, or plunge into the hilarious world of the racy, adults-only,
definitely R-rated, “Absinthe” at Caesars Palace, where the theater design actually
drops you right into the middle of the circus action.
Also, don't forget to check out the world's largest observation wheel, the High
Roller, offering unparalleled views of the downtown area, day and night, and ask for
bottle service. Make use of the Strip's monorail and trams too so you can whiz up
and down the entertainment corridor.
CULTURE & PERFORMING ARTS
Something about Las Vegas inspires visions. In 1998, Steve Wynn had the
inspiration to put a fine art museum in his Bellagio hotel and casino. Today, the
entire Bellagio complex is a piece of art in itself, with its famous fountains, works by
Pablo Picasso adorning the walls of the ultra haute cuisine Picasso restaurant, and a
lobby ceiling of 2,000 hand-blown glass flowers (a work of the brilliant glass artist
Dale Chihuly). The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art’s current exhibit, “Fabergé Revealed”
offers a rare glimpse into the extravagance of the last, doomed Russian czars
through the intricate craftsmanship of the House of Fabergé. The Conservatory will
host its Spring Exhibit in May. The Bellagio is just one of many of the world's
premier casinos and resorts you'll find on the Strip.
Artistic Ambiance aptly describes The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, a five
acre world-class campus at the heart of downtown’s Symphony Park development
offering an array of beautiful indoor (3 theatres) and outdoor spaces for enjoying
the arts and hosting private events. The Las Vegas Philharmonic and Nevada Ballet
Theatre perform there along with Broadway, music theatre, jazz, dance, and other
2. venues. Symphony Park redefines Las Vegas as a city that values culture and the
artisan urban lifestyle and, most importantly, its children. The Discovery Children’s
Museum relocated adjacent to the Smith Center in March of 2013. The 58,000
square-feet Discovery building is home to nine-themed exhibition halls totaling
26,000 square-feet of interactive hands on core exhibits. The Featured Exhibitions
Gallery is large enough to accommodate major exhibits rom the nation’s leading
museums.
Symphony Park is also home to the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain He
alth. Keep Memory Alive, is committed to improving the lives of patients and their
families as they navigate the extraordinary challenges of brain disorders. The Center
treats patients with Alzheimer’s, Huntington’s and Parkinson’s disease, as well as
frontotemporal dementia and multiplescierosis. The treatment programs are
designed to provide excellent care and to respect the dignity of patients and their
families. Research helps to advance Cleveland Clinic’s clinical trials and offers hope
for improving brain health.
WINING
Las Vegas is home to 17 master sommeliers, more than any city in the U.S. You’ll
need the sommelier at Alizé at the Palms to help you navigate the 55-page wine list.
For your viewing pleasure while dining at Aureole Mandalay Bay, trained aerialists
and acrobats fetch your wine bottle by scaling a Mission: Impossible–themed tower.
Maybe they’ll add an extra flip if you order the $42,000 bottle of 1900 Petrus
Bordeaux.
DINING
It’s not just the singers and magicians who are celebrities in Las Vegas. Famous
chefs are now serving up their delectable cuisine in the city’s booming restaurant
scene. Bon Appétit magazine has declared Las Vegas one of its top five culinary
cities, and among the town’s 5,000 eateries are Michelin-rated and AAA Five
Diamond restaurants. Delicacies from all cultures are found right here!

colleges and specialized higher education facilities are also located in the

many educational amenities have a well-established track record of academic

education that includes a demanding and rewarding curriculum, foreign language
