This document outlines a proposal to unlock investment in Nepal for producing and marketing herbal goods. The goals are to produce herbal soap, tonics, foods, and market them domestically and internationally, while contributing to environmental, social and financial inclusion. Existing financial sources include equity shares, member savings, micro-insurance funds and local bank loans. Additional sources proposed are loans from the World Bank Group, foreign direct investment partnerships for co-financing, cooperation, distribution and risk mitigation.
