Introduction of the organization (NRNA)
• Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) was established with the purpose of
uniting and binding the Nepali Diaspora under one umbrella on 11 October, 2003.
• In the course of completing 18 years of its existence NRNA has developed into a
non-governmental global organization and a network of Nepali origin by
establishing National Coordination Council (NCC) in 85 countries to represent its
interests, concerns and commitments.
• The Strategic Goals of NRNA is to unite and bring Nepali residing all over the world
under one umbrella; protect and promote their interest in and outside Nepal and
utilize their potentials and resources for the welfare of Nepal.
Objectives of the Internship Report
• To get the knowledge related to MIS
• To provide technical support to the IT department and clients
• To learn to work with organization tools and techniques.
Methodology
Organizational Selection
• I saw the vacancy announcement in company’s website and approached to NRNA and
decided to drop my cv there.
• After a short interview ,they chose me as a Intern in IT Support.
Placement
• I was hired as a intern in IT Department of NRNA and was given task to give assist in
the IT department and to the members of the organization.
Activity Performed
• Reported glitches/bugs regarding selfie ,document in MIS system to NRNA IT
TEAM to ensure better quality of the system
• Tested online voting. Provided IT Support to Delegates and Voters .
• Created and compiled NRN and selfie status report of all delegates
• Updated selfie of delegates from MIS system
• Updated NRN status of delegates from email.
Conclusion
• It was a great opportunity to learn about the professional environment and develop a
professional attitude.
• There were different lessons that I learnt during my internship period which are listed
below :
Handling all the MIS related tasks which included CRUD operations.
Finding and reporting bugs to the developer team
Synchronization of data from email to MIS and MIS to spreadsheets
Saving User data and fetching data as per the necessity
Support and train colleagues and seniors to the ways of online voting
Technical aspects of online voting
Provision Zoom meetings and report bugs and errors to zoom provider
