Lupin foundation Bhopal centre holistic work model with impact all around
1. Lupin foundation – Raisen district
It has been founded by Dr.
Deshbandhu Gupta (chairman,
Lupin limited, Mumbai) in 1989.
Now, Lupin foundation has been
working in 2669 villages of 12
districts in four states, with focus
on economic empowerment of
poor community.
In Madhya Pradesh, Lupin is
working with 7000 families in over
140 villages of Raisen and Vidisha
district.
2. 1. Poverty reduction through Women Self help
Group Program (2008- ongoing)
466 functional SHGs with membership of 5127 poor
families across 99 villages.
These SHGs have mobilized own saving of over Rs
2.60 crore.
436 SHGs have been provided a bank loan amount
of Rs 20.09 Crore and not a single SHG is bank
loan defaulter.
6. 3. Lupin agriculture promotion program
Over 1500 farmers have benefitted through
lupin scheme of subsidized seed and
technical know how for cereal and vegetable
crop yield enhancement program.
8. 4. Lupin Buffalo breed improvement program
Six NI centres for improving buffalo breed resulting in 340 number of
graded murrah born with monetary value of Rs 1.75 crore against Lupin
investment of Rs 2.45 Lakh.
9. 5. Lupin Youth skill training program for self employment (2013
onwards.
1007 youth trained in car driving, Computer Data entry operations,
Beauty parlor, Tailoring, Electric Motor binding with 25% local cash contribution.
11. 7. Lupin Education Promotion Program (2012- ongoing)
Over 2000 students from 30 Govt.
Primary and high school have been
benefitted.
Govt Primary school adoption & Govt
hostel adoption for providing school
bags, ceiling fans, CFL lamps,
mosquito nets, sports kit , sewing
machine, overhead drinking water
tank, utensils for mid day meals.
