1. The Legend of the Forget-Me-Not
There are many myths and legends attached to the naming of the Forget-Me-Not flower; a German legend refers to
the small, yet unnamed plant who cried out to God, “Forget me not, Lord!” However, the most romantic legend as to
how the Forget-Me-Not gained its name is a medieval legend.
A knight was said to be choosing some flowers for his sweetheart, who was walking with him, when he fell into the
river, due to the weight of his armor; the knight is said to have thrown the blue flowers to his sweetheart on the river
bank crying, "Forget-Me-Not".
The mission of our Ministry is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to all. So in essence our motto is thus:
“If you meet me and you forget me you have lost nothing; If you meet Jesus and you Forget Him you have lost
everything!!”
What have you done with Jesus Today??
The focus is bringing the message of Hope to those who feel they have lost hope. That the people who they
depended on have abandoned them and there is nobody that actually gives a “fig”!
Our message is; “there is a person that actually cares and He is a person with active and everlasting Love for them
and that He is a rewarder of those that seek Him.”
This person gives Hope, Love, Acceptance and Peace. This person sticks closer to than a brother or friend. He will
never leave them or forsake them. Our object is to bring the ability to these people to read about this profoundly
exceptional person and they don’t have to rely on others to tell them, a sometimes tainted message of this person, but
will be able to read the truth of this person for themselves. This is the person of Jesus Christ.
The biggest contributing factor to poverty is the feeling of rejection illiterate adults feel in a world where even the
children read and write. The adults are regarded as inferior and incompetent and are only deserving of contempt and
ridicule. Our objective is to bring literacy to these people and allow them the opportunity to determine the fact of their
worth and it is not dependant on a lack of skills but rather the person they are within themselves. Society does not
define you even if they do not accept you. You determine the worth of yourself.
We can tell you the profound adulation in the spirit of an adult who for the first time can actually write and read their
own name!!! Their self esteem is catapulted a 100 fold and they feel they are unique. In their own self they are
actually that unique.

2. We had an awesome meeting in Soshanguve and the meeting was
for the additional functions we are integrating.
We are integrating these in: Tembisa, Soshanguve, Ga-rankuwa
and Mabopane. The programs we have instituted in Soweto are up
and running and fully functional.
Old Age Home, Orphans, Crisis Centre, Rescue Centre.
I'm so excited for this to get off the ground.
We are currently looking after 20 old people and 200 Orphans.
To reduce the 34% illiteracy figures in South Africa to ZERO

The people of Forget Me Not are awesome and, oh so dedicated at
what they do....
They work very hard and to a great extent it is a very thankless
Endeavour BUT they do it because they CAN and want to…. LOL.

3. Something to think about....
In a small Texas town, a new tavern business started constructing a
building in which to open up a bar. The local Baptist church began a
campaign to block the bar from opening, with petitions and prayers.
Work progressed, however right up until the week before opening,
when lightning struck the bar and it burned to the ground.
The church folks were rather smug in their outlook until the bar
owner sued the church on the grounds that the church was
ultimately responsible for the destruction of his building, either
through direct or indirect actions or means.
The church vehemently denied all responsibility or any connection to
the building's demise in its reply to the court.
As the case made its way into court, the judge looked over the
paperwork.
At the hearing he commented: "I don't know how I'm going to decide
this, but it appears from the paperwork that we have a bar owner
who believes in the power of prayer, and an entire church
congregation that doesn't.“
WE BELIEVE IN WHAT WE DO AND WHY!!!!
