Welcome!!! My name is Anna and I would love to be your Chemistry tutor.
I have cum laude Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Cornell University,
have completed 1.5 years of graduate coursework in Chemistry at
Princeton University, and am certified to teach Chemistry and Physical
Sciences by NJ Department of Education. My score for GRE in Chemistry is
750 and my score for GRE in Math is 790. My GPA at Cornell is 3.50 and at
Princeton it is 3.34.
I have worked as a Chemist at L'Oreal Skincare Labs, as a teacher of
Regular and Advanced Placement Chemistry at Cedar Grove High School, NJ
and as a Teaching Assistant in the undergraduate chemistry course at
Princeton University. My approach to teaching and tutoring is an active
involvement of student at every stage of the problem. Be it initial problem
setup or gathering data and constants, applying concepts or figuring out
formulas and proper units – you or your child will be involved in problem
solving at every step of the way. My teaching method is interactive where I
let the student figure out the solution by asking leading questions,
providing similar examples and using known analogies to arrive at answers.
Whether you are a high school senior wishing to improve your performance
in AP Chemistry class and to score a perfect 5 on the AP Chemistry exam,
or a sophomore taking honors chemistry with the goal to excel in your class
and make yourself ready for next year’s AP Chemistry or the SAT in
Chemistry, or if you are simply struggling and wishing that someone could
explain logic behind valence in a better way than your teacher does ‐ go
ahead and call me. I will answer your questions, teach you the
fundamentals, provide direction in your learning, and ultimately instill
confidence and make your goals a reality.
College students having difficulty with their General Chemistry course or
professionals looking to hone in on a particular chemistry skill will benefit
from my knowledge and preparation as well. I teach fundamental concepts
and explain science in a clear and logical way, minimizing memorization
and drawing on for examples from real life. Our lessons will be enjoyable
and your confidence will increase as you learn to master this difficult
subject. With regular lessons, your performance will be guaranteed to
