15. Deuteronomy 6:4-5
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with
all your soul and with all your strength.
17. Genesis 12:2-3
“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless
you;
I will make your name great and you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses
you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
18. Genesis 18:18-19
For I have chosen him, so that
he will direct his children and his household after him
to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right
and just,
so that
the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has
promised him.
19. Exodus 12:24-27
Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and
your descendants. When you enter the land that the LORD
will give you as he promised, observe this ceremony.
And when your children ask you, “What does this
ceremony mean to you?” then tell them,
“It is the Passover sacrifice to the LORD, who passed over
the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes
when he struck down he Egyptians.”
20. Exodus 16:33
So Moses said to Aaron, “Take a jar and put an omer
of manna in it. Then place it before the LORD to be
kept for generations to come.”
21. Deuteronomy 4:9
Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that
you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or
let them fade from your heart as long as you live.
Teach them to your children and to their children
after them.
22. Psalm 78:1-7
My people, hear my teaching; listen to the words of
my mouth.
I will open my mouth with a parable; I will utter hidden
things, things from of old — things we have heard and
known, things our ancestors have told us.
We will not hide them from their descendants; we will
tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of
the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done.
23. He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in
Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach
their children,
so the next generation would know them, even the
children yet to be born,
and they in turn would tell their children.
Then they would put their trust in God and would
not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.
24. Malachi 4:4-6
Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and
laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.
See I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great
and dreadful day of the LORD comes.
He will turn the hearts of the parents to their
children, and the hearts of the children to their
parents;
or else I will come and strike the land with total
destruction.
25. Acts 2:38-39
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of
you, in the name of Jesus Chris for the forgiveness of
your sins. And you will received the gift of the Holy
Spirit.
The promise is for you and your children
and for all who are far off — for all whom the LORD
our God will call.”
26. Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead
bring them up in the training and instruction of the
Lord.
27. Titus 2:4
Then they (older women) can urge the younger
women to love their husbands and children,
to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to
be kind….
28. 2 Timothy 3:14-15
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and
have become convinced of, because you know those
from whom you learned it,
and how from infancy you have known the Holy
Scriptures,
which are able to make you wise for salvation through
faith in Christ Jesus.
35. Elders
He must manage his own family well and see that his
children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy
of full respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his
own family, how can he take care of God’s church?)
I Tim 3:4-5
So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the
evangelists, the pastors, and teachers, to equip his people
for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built
up….
Eph 4:11
