7. Artifact 1: Volleyball
U16 Thunder Volleyball Team
Jerseys and Medals
Volleyball is an extremely big part of my life. I have been playing volleyball since
I was 11 years old and I have been consistently playing on school teams and club
teams. Not only is volleyball a form of exercise and fitness, it also allowed me to
meet a lot of new friends and build self confidence. I have collected a lot of good
memories from being on teams and the bond I share with all of my teammates.
8. Artifact 2: Challenge10
Challenge 10 Block B Sweater Hiking in the snow at Garibaldi Provincial Park
Challenge 10 has impacted my life in so many ways. During the course, I was
pushed to my limits and stepped out of my comfort zone. It taught me that I can
accomplish anything that I put my mind to and it tested my self motivation and
perseverance. I also made unforgettable memories with my fellow classmates and
shared laughs that will last a life time.
9. Artifact 3: Baking
One of the many reasons I love baking is that I love putting a smile on people’s faces. I love
making something that everyone can enjoy together and it is something that I have fun
doing. I find baking very stress relieving because I’m just concentrating on the ingredients in
front of me and thinking about what I can create with those ingredients. Baking gets me
excited and I hope to create a food blog sometime in the future.
Orange White Chocolate Black Forest Cake
Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake
Chip Cookies
10. Artifact 4: Music
iPod & Concert Ticket
Music has always played a very important part of my life. The iPod shown here
has accompanied me everywhere I go for 5 years already. I relate to music at a
very personal level because I can connect my emotions to a song and it is a direct
way of expressing my feelings.
11. Artifact 5: Awards
Various awards
These awards are special to me because they make me unique and they make
me feel a sense of achievement. I think these awards represent the hard work
and perseverance I put in in to achieving these awards. These awards are
another source of motivation for me in times of difficulty.
12. Artifact 6: Guitar
Guitar
My mother bought this guitar for me on my 12th birthday, hoping that I would
learn. This is an artifact that does not have any significance to me now but I
hope it will in a year because I am determined to start learning this summer.
