The University of Oklahoma
OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
July 31, 2007
To Whom It May Concern:
I am pleased to provide this letter of recommendation on behalf of an accomplished
young woman, Ms. Dena Drabek. I became familiar with her during her time at the University
of Oklahoma through her participation in the President’s Leadership Class as well as my political
science class.
The President’s Leadership Class is composed of 100 outstanding student leaders from
our state and nation. They are selected from over 5,000 applicants based on their outstanding
leadership, community service, and honors while in high school. They are given the opportunity
to meet with many state, national, and international leaders. These students are our best and
brightest and go on to serve our campus in many different leadership roles.
Dena was no exception. She was selected as a Freshman Teaching Assistant and earned
the highest honor in the College of Arts and Sciences through her selection for Phi Beta Kappa.
Post graduation, Dena has continued to demonstrate her extraordinary breadth and ability by
serving as Congresswoman Mary Fallin’s Press Secretary.
Dena is extremely professional, yet has an easy-going, approachable personality that has
allowed her to succeed in a variety of pursuits. Her personality enables her to provide leadership
and counsel to people of all ages and experiences, which is easily observed by the number of
times others seek her advice.
Dena certainly has my strong support.
Sincerely,
David L. Boren
President
