Reproduction Steps
Steps:-
1. Press start on the menu screen
2. Choose any save file
3. Go inside Princes Peach’s castle
4. Go to any area of the castle that has stairs in any direction and a door that is impassable early
game (0 stars)
5. Aline yourself and face opposite away from the door
6. Perform the “Long-Jump” action
7. Whilst in the animation, pull back the (analogue stick) and repeatedly press (A) even when the
bug is active
8. If this has worked, you should be breaking speed boundaries for Mario and should be going
up/downstairs in a very fast manner plus, clipping through X locked door.
ExpectedResult:-
You should bebreaking speed boundariesforMario and should begoing up/downstairsin a very fast
manner plus, clipping through X locked door. You will end up on the other side of the door instead.
Actual Result:-
The player performs long jump glitch and successfully clips through X locked door; bypassing locked
door and is on the other side.
How to fix:-
I would suggest changing some lines of the code and make it in such a way that the (A) button
cannotbepressed more than once during the long jump animation or, a few seconds after; possible
cooldown for this button input
