Dear Hiring Manager,
I am writing you in regards to DeAnna Forfa, who is applying for a position with your company. DeAnna worked as a
Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) at Winn-Dixie Pharmacy for 3 years-- 8 months of which were
alongside myself. She was promoted to work within the pharmacy after working the previous 3 years within the
main store of Winn-Dixie, in the cash-office and as a front-end manager. Her strong interpersonal and organizational
skills made her a perfect candidate for advancement into the pharmacy.
It was a pleasure working beside DeAnna for the time she worked at Winn-Dixie Pharmacy. She was a huge asset
to me as the pharmacist in keeping the workflow organized and providing exceptional customer service. Pharmacy
is a very precise and detail-oriented profession, and DeAnna excelled in these skills even when under high-
pressure time constraints. I have been a pharmacist for 10 years, and DeAnna is the most accurate and meticulous
technician I have worked with. Multitasking is a constant requirement in a retail pharmacy, and DeAnna was able
to transition between customer service by phone or in person, data entry, filling prescriptions, and the various
pharmacy tasks required during the day.
As I started working in the pharmacy, there had been a major shift in staffing, leaving DeAnna the only staff member
who had worked in the pharmacy at Winn-Dixie for more than only a couple of months. She not only had to jump
into being the most skilled technician within the pharmacy and take on a higher workload, but also was the main
person who trained all of us new staff on the innerworkings of the pharmacy and the computer software. She was
able to overcome many obstacles and persevere during a very challenging time in the pharmacy.
Above all else, DeAnna has amazing empathy and ability to connect with people. Pharmacy is all about patient care
and customer service, and I can say she provided both to the highest level. She is dearly missed by many customers
and she knew each of them by name, often knowing what they needed before they even reached the register.
I believe that DeAnna would be an outstanding addition to your staff. I would have no reservations
about hiring her again and am confident in recommending DeAnna for employment with your company.
