To whom it may concern;
I am writing on behalf of David A. Beardsley, to promote his employment as a CAD designer. I have had
many opportunities to work with Mr. Beardsley, and his abilities are among the best I have experienced.
He is proficient with PTC Creo design software and has made a name for himself through his
professional and competent use of CAD to produce stable, robust, manufacturable designs.
Mr. Beardsley has done work for CAD-Based Solutions under contract, on an as needed basis for many
years. His expertise in surface modeling, 3-dimensional scanning and point cloud manipulation has been
valuable in our business of specialty design for such products as computer mouse, keyboard and other
peripheral designs, orthotic shoe insoles, bone models for educational products, plastic scale models
(for hobbyists), oral care appliances, and many other part and product designs.
He routinely produced high quality, accurate data that was used for various types of 3D printing or
machining with little to no additional processing. Mr. Beardsley has experience machining plastics, light
metals and composite materials and brings that knowledge to the table when it comes to CAD/CAM
design. He also understands plastic part design and has a sound knowledge of molding and mold design
requirements, which is very valuable in injection molded plastic and cast or molded metal design. Mr.
Beardsley’s knowledge makes it very easy to outline and release a project to him with the expectation
that it will be completed within budget and time constraints, with a minimum amount of oversight.
Having had the experience to work with Mr. Beardsley on many occasions, I would welcome the
opportunity to work with him again. In fact, I likely will have those opportunities in the future. Until
then, I can only recommend him as a valuable, competent CAD designer for any type of complex
surfacing project or 3D modeling, especially where machining or molding is required.
