1. Greetings,
Thanks for taking the time to consider me for this position.
My recent schoolwork includes CAD experience in 3D modeling using SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor,
and IronCAD. I also participated in undergraduate research designing, building, and operating
experimental test equipment. Here I utilized my understanding of design intent constraint based
modeling to create part and assembly models, technical drawings, bill of material (BOM), as well as
material and component selection. I collaborated with the machine shops on designs to ensure they
were designed for efficient fabrication with minimal cost while ensuring they meet critical design
tolerances. I would then contact material vendors and schedule machine shop work. Finally, I would
assemble and ensure proper operation of parts or assembly.
I believe this class work and experience combined with my personality and recent shop experience in a
manufacturing environment will make me a great fit for this position.
I am very interested in interviewing for this opportunity and look forward to learning more about your
requirements. My resume contains an in-depth review of my personality, abilities, and related work
experiences of which I would be happy to discuss with you. Please feel free to contact me at (517) 303-
