Dear Dave,
I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how much all of us that worked the PGA TOUR 1" Stage
Qualifying School the last two years at the Wanamaker Course appreciate all the work you and your
team have done to make our events successful. The horrible weather this year made for some very
difficult challenges but you were always willing to do whatever we asked and prepared the course each
day as best you could given the circumstances.
The improvement in the overall course conditions during your first 16 months has been amazing. Last
year you had greens that were planted in July ready for us and even though they were new, were firmer,
putted faster and truer than in our previous experience at the Wanamaker Course. This year they were
even better after having a second summer to fine tune them.
Last year was the first time we did not have balls plugging and or getting mud on them through the
green. That was a big improvement in the playing conditions and it is the main reason we came back in
2O12. As I had told you if conditions had not improved dramatically in 2011 we would not have been
back this past fall. However, the conditions were so much better we had no reservations about
returning in2072.
Finally your team was a joy to work with. Even with the limited resources and challenges with the
weather they dealt with all of it with a great attitude. You should be proud of the work you have done
and I am sure will continue to do in the future.
