Love What You Do and You’ll Never Work A Day.
accordingtodarine.com /2016/03/15/love-what-you-do-and-youll-never-work-a-day/
Before I start elaborating on the idea of you love what you do and you’ll never work a day , I am going to throw a
question out there.
At this very moment, do you love what you do?
If the answer is no, then guess what. Neither do I.
I am going to start talking now and I just want you to empty your mind and just listen to what I have to say.
At this very moment, I work at a natural market store and I work as a delivery person for this on-demand delivery
service. In the beginning, I actually loved it because of the money I was making. A few months later, I am now at a
state of exhaustion and stressed because I don’t love what I do and the money is not even that great to me
anymore. Every day is a struggle to wake up because I have to go to work.
Let that sink in. I have to go to work.
How many times have you said that phrase, “I have to go to work”? You know why you say that? That is exactly what
it is…. work. You are going because they are providing you with money and in return, you give them your time.
You think rappers are saying they have to go to work? What about songwriters? Oh, how about motivational
speakers and entrepreneurs? They have to go to work? No, they don’t go to work. They established a career and
because they did that, they love what they do as well as their life as a result.
Love what you do and you’ll never work a day. Imagine that. What I am saying is when you are in a position where
1/2
you love your job, you love what you are currently doing and that thing you are doing is providing you with the
income you need, it doesn’t feel like work! There comes a point where that thing integrates with your life so
smoothly and you’re just doing it because it’s fun and you get some type of fulfillment that you can’t even describe.
I know it’s hard. The economy we live in today does not allow any of us to dream anymore because of various things
that interfere on a daily basis. Regardless of what you are going through currently, there is an out for you. Whatever
is keeping you in your current job situation does not have any control over you. All the control it has on you is all in
your head.
That control it has over you has a name. fear. Life is too short to be living in fear.
I am not telling you to quit your job right now. I am telling you to find another way. Create a plan B that will eventually
overtake your job ten-fold. I have created a Plan B of my own that may or may not be for you personally, but what
value I receive from it has changed my mindset and has me focused on building a life that I love while loving where
my income comes from. I would say job, but it’s so much more than that. It’s an adventure.
Love what you do and you’ll never work a day. We all have dreams. Don’t settle for what society has installed in you.
It’s 2016. This is the year to be reckless. This is the year of our best self. This is the year where we change where
we are and get to where we want to be.
I challenge you to take a chance on your life and unlock the potential within you. I challenge you to become a better
person than yesterday. I challenge you to be fearless in life because as a Japanese Proverb says,
“Fear is only as deep as the mind allows”
take care.
