was lookingtooptimize assetperformanceandincreasedpoweroutputandsell the additional
energyintothe local powermarket.EthosEnergywasbroughtinforcycle optimizationand
analysisof the plant.Several optimizationtechniqueswerealreadyinplace tohelpmeetpower
outputoptimization,howeverasystemtobalance thisalongwithmaintainingstringent
emissionoutputregulationswasrequired.The problemwiththese poweroptimization
upgradeswasthat theycreateda variable operatingprofileintermsof emissionscompliance
and causedsignificantemissionsfluctuationthatwouldputthe plantintoa non-compliantstate
of operation.Thisinconsistencyledtoalossof bothenergyoutputpotential andprofitforthe
plant.
EcoMax was installedtooptimize poweroutputwhilekeepingthe otherpreemptivemeasures
inplace,givingthemamore controlledandautomatedoperationof the plantregardlessof how
