their authentication systems. He led a remote team to integrate .Net WCF services with the existing
infrastructure. He also helped transition a legacy UI to a modern Sass-based solution and
demonstrated how to improve the maintainability of the frontend codeby adopting ES6, gulp, and
webpack.

modular frontend application. He created a build system using gulp and webpack to automate
building and testing the frontend application. Daniel also helped transition backend services from
.Net and SQL Server to NodeJS and MongoDB. As the digital retailer built out its development team,
Daniel helped train and oversee the workof new team members.

A healthcare provider asked fora way to better rate the quality of their care and facilities
throughout the Southeastern United States. Consultants previously used Excelto record metrics
and then aggregated it together using a manual process. To improve the workflow Daniel was
brought on to create an AngularJS app running on MicrosoftSurface tablets tocollect metrics and
photos. He craftedan intuitive user experience to enable nurses to efficiently enter facility
information. Daniel also improved the frontend build and test automation using Grunt. The project
sponsor reported, “Forthe first time ever in my professional career… [our users] gave us a standing
ovation.”

A national event management firm needed a custom inventory management system. Daniel
developed an ASP.Net MVC frontend used by event planners to request and transfer supplies where
needed. The inventory management process improved from a complicatednetwork of phone calls
and spreadsheets to an easily managed, user-friendly internal website. Upon successful completion
of the project, the firm asked Daniel to build a series of reports to give greater visibility into their
freight operations. For this task, Daniel utilized MicrosoftAnalysis Service’s Tabular Model and SQL
Server Reporting Services.
