The document discusses how Q-Centrix provides quality improvement solutions and services for healthcare providers. They utilize a team of over 600 quality information specialists and a technology platform called Q-Apps to perform tasks like data abstraction, quality reporting, and real-time surveillance. This allows quality teams at hospitals to focus on improvement initiatives rather than data management.
Transformational quality through expert solutions and innovative technology
1.
2. “Our staff love no longer having to sit in
front of a computer. They went into quality
to do hands-on quality improvement.
They’re now freed up to do that.”
- Mary Mang, director of quality & outcomes
management at Carson Tahoe Health
3. Inspiring transformational quality

the need for disease-specific and real-time data is vital to physician engagement. The

Stop trying the traditional, reactionary approach.

4. A comprehensive partner
Our innovative portfolio of solutions offers providers complete peace
of mind. From readmission reduction to concurrent review, custom
protocols to core measures—and every registry in between—our solutions
meet every quality need. Then we energize and invigorate clinical teams
with accurate, actionable data insights delivered via our comprehensive
healthcare quality information system.
5. One-stop shop
Having partnered with more hospitals than all of our competitors combined,
Q-Centrix has a keen understanding of the challenges hospitals face daily.
That’s why we don’t offer just one quality service—we drive improved quality
outcomes through a robust portfolio of quality data abstraction and surveillance
solutions. Our one-stop shop allows you to truly focus your time and resources
on quality improvement.
“We add a new registry almost every year [to our Q-Centrix services]. The
need for quality data is so great, and it will only grow.”
- Karlene Strayer, manager of quality data at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center
6. Leading a quality department is not an easy job. Market conditions require that you
constantly improve. And as requirements increase, so do the number of Excel spreadsheets.
When quality data is managed in disparate spreadsheets, it is often incomplete or inaccurate.
That’s why we engaged quality leaders, clinicians and computer scientists to create Q-Apps,
the most comprehensive healthcare quality information system. Our cloud-based platform
features dashboard technology that offers our partner hospitals a more comprehensive
perspective of their hospital quality.
7. Unmatched efficiency and transparency
Our technology offers customizable solutions to meet and exceed any quality requirement—
large or small:
Patient-centric data model: Captures
patient data and the specific data elements
that contribute to any measurement
Integration*: Integrates key quality
data, facilitating workflow and
performance insight
Workflow and alerting: Provides integrated
communication, alerts related to action items
and overall workflow facilitation
Abstractor workforce management:
Tracks the efficiency and performance
of each abstractor
Real-time surveillance monitoring:
Monitors the patient through real-time
quality surveillance
*Integration is optional for participating
partner hospitals
Analytics and reporting: Analyzes
and reports performance in aggregate
volumes or by case activity
Security: Ensures complete auditing,
tracking and peace of mind

10. An extension of your department
The Q-Centrix workflow begins with the patient. During the patient’s stay, data is created
and entered into charts, EMRs and other information systems by the partner hospital.
The data is integrated directly into Q-Apps via an HL7 or by a Q-Centrix expert upon
reviewing a read-only version of the data. Then, our quality information specialists
abstract and enter relevant information for each patient into Q-Apps or a third-party
vendor tool. The information is then available to partner hospitals for final approval and
submission. In some cases, Q-Centrix submits the data directly.
“My peers groan with envy when I tell them I outsource to Q-Centrix.
They are still struggling with managing all the changing demands.”
- Patty Atkins, vice president of quality and patient safety at Sharp HealthCare
12. Our model: elite people, innovative
technology, lean processes
The core elements of our business solve our partner hospitals’ biggest quality challenges.
We designed every aspect of our organization to elevate all quality processes and improve
outcomes. No other organization can do it as well.
14. Tightly-integrated, elite quality solutions
Who would you want performing your complex surgery? The surgeon who has performed
it thousands of times or one who performs it from time to time? The answer is clear: You
would choose the expert. That’s why we have a team of industry experts working on each
solution in our portfolio.
15. Q-Solutions
Our Q-Team brings its depth and expertise to bear across a broad and growing set of quality
solutions for retrospective and real-time quality needs. With Q-Solutions you benefit from a one-
stop quality shop so you can focus your resources on quality improvement.
Q-Team
Experience matters. From expertise in federal, state and national registries, to proprietary measures,
infection control and much more, our clinical workforce is experienced across the entire gambit of
quality. We test and incent our teams to guarantee their high performance. It is this expert team that
works as an extension of our partner hospitals’ patient quality and safety initiatives.
16. Quality data and technology platform
Q-Apps, the most comprehensive quality information system on the market, was built to
constantly innovate and help hospitals improve their performance from a clinical, safety,
operational and financial perspective.
17. Q-Apps
Q-Apps manages quality data and delivers instant, accurate reporting that empowers providers to meet
and exceed quality requirements. Optimizing quality workflows, the cloud-based technology powers
data abstraction, concurrent review, inter-rater reliability scoring, infection prevention and more. The
platform allows providers to deliver more consistent quality care and capture more quality-linked
reimbursement dollars.
Q-Insights
The lack of interoperability within hospitals continually challenges quality improvement. Q-Insights is
built within the Q-Apps platform to capture structured and unstructured quality data from multiple
information sources. With Q-Insights, healthcare providers can access a more comprehensive view of
their hospital’s data and make better, more timely decisions to improve the quality of care they deliver.
18. Comprehensive quality approach
Advancing your quality efforts requires a team committed to achieving your goals
and delivering value to your customers. Our comprehensive quality approach ensures
complete accountability for the accuracy and delivery of our solutions from the first
interaction through the last. After more than 500 deployments across over 300 diverse
partner hospitals, we’ve refined a comprehensive quality approach.
19. Q-Assurance
Data accuracy is paramount to physician engagement and quality improvement overall. Q-Assurance
delivers the gold standard in accurate quality data delivery. Embedded into all of our solutions,
Q-Assurance uses an inter-rater reliability review (IRR) process to consistently deliver data element
match rates of greater than 97%.
Q-Confidence
Every facility is different. Our comprehensive, Six Sigma approach to each partnership enables us to
customize our process and solutions to your specific needs. Together we’ll develop, review, test and
continually refine the quality workflow design. Features within our quality information system, Q-Apps,
ensure that all workflows are efficient and comprehensive. To guarantee transparency, we meet weekly
to review progress and reports.
