1. Do you know what these RUPA or
pictures (forms) are? The Striking
realization.
As I repeatedlysaidthatthe worldmeansapicture at any one moment& whateverorwhereveryousee
isa picture infrontof youreye at that moment& nothingmore thanthat.
There are 2 kindsof RUPAS or formsor picturesinthisworld.
1. MAHABOOTHA RUPA.(Base material) &these are invisible toyoureye.Itconsistsof the Atomic forms
(conventional usage,butitgoesevenbeyondit).Thisisthe basis.Due tothese formsyouhave the
visible pictureforyoutosee called“UPADAAYA RUPA”.
2. UPADAAYA RUPA.(a visible picture oraform).
Shall I give youan example forexplanationpurpose?
See!This isa picture of sand.Justby lookingatit youcan say “oh’ itis a sandmountain”.Butthinka bit
now.Is there anysand mountaininthispicture? Canthisword“mountain”applytothishaul of sands?
Because the word“sand mountain”comesdue tothe collectionof tinysandparticles.GETTING
TOGETHER OF SANDPARTICLESGIVESYOU A SANDMOUNTAIN.
Thistinysand particle iscalledthe MAHA BOOTHA RUPA or the base material.
The picture you see asa sandmountainiscalledthe UPADAAYA RUPA or the visible pictureof the sand
mountain.
So the conclusioncomesthatthe presence of MAHABOOTHA,youcan see UPADAAYA RUPA or the
presence of the base material,youcansee visible picture ora form,foryou to see.
The visible picture yousee istotallydependingonthe base material.
I will give youanotherexample!
Look at that wall onwhichyoucan drawa picture withwatercolors.Now,the whole wall was covered
by the picture youhave drawn& youcan not see the wall now. If you ask someone else tocome &see it
& ask himto diagnose whatitis,he will definitelytell youthat,itisa beautiful picture&notaword
regardingthe wall onwhichitwas drawn.
See!The wall ishiddenonwhichyouhave colors,butyou see onlythe colorsnotthe wall.Withoutthe
wall there isnopicture visible.Likewise,the wall canbe calledasMAHABOOTHA & the colors can be
calledasUPADAAYA.

2. EVERY PICTURE YOU SEE IN THIS WORLD IS A “UPADAAYA TYPE”& can not see the base material or
MAHABOOTHA,whichisthe creator of the world. Whenyougo onimprovingyoumind,one dayA
VISION will come toyouthatthe picture youwatchthrough youreyes& the picture youwatch through
your mindas an imaginarypicture isa UPADAAYA TYPE & you are goingto give up the whole world
leadingyoutoNIBBANA.
