CEProTECH Overview Flyer
1. CENTER FOR ELECTROCHEMICAL
PROCESSES AND TECHNOLOGY
CEProTECHOHIO UNIVERSITY
· Established by the National Science Foundation in 2013 as an
industry/university cooperative research center
· Aimed at becoming the world leader in electrochemical engineering
research, innovation, and commercialization
Electrochemical technologies and processes are an untapped frontier of opportunity
for unique, enabling, and transformative solutions. Recent advances in materials
science, computational chemistry and modeling (multi-scale modeling), and in-situ
spectroscopy and microscopy have made electrochemical processes cheaper, more
efficient, smaller, and easier to control, and have enabled electrochemical
methodologies to be applied in areas never before conceived.
CEProTECH develops solutions by advancing fundamental and cross-cutting
electrochemical research to explore enhancements, alternatives, and analogues for
classical chemical and biological processes, especially in advanced production and
manufacturing applications.
1. Electrochemical technology infrastructure with prototyping and
scale-up capabilities
2. Cutting-edge electrochemical research and development
3. Results from all consortium projects through leveraged membership fees
4. High quality scientific equipment and analyses at reduced rates
5. Qualified and well-trained students and researchers for future employment
6. Reduced overhead rate for consortium members (10%)
7. Network of consortium members for governmental funding opportunities
