one dedicated A.H.U. for microbiological laminar flow
system.

Received overall 4,07,667 requisitions for various tests
Biochemistry - 2,39,631 ,( 58.78 %) ( 657 tests per day),
Hematology – 70,742 ( 17.35 %) ( 194 tests per day),
Microbiology – 24,198 ( 6%) ( 66 tests per day),
Blood Bank – 17962 ( 4.40%) ( 49 tests per day),
Serology - 18112 ( 4.5 %) ( 50 tests per day)
Clinical Pathology - 19129 ( 4.69 %) ( 52 tests per day),
Histopathology - 3841( 1%) ( 11 tests per day)
Immunoassay - 14052 ( 3.45 % ) ( 39 tests per day)
 Per day 100-120 samples from OPD and 50-80 samples from IPD
i.e. 6 -8 Samples per technician.

15.  Issues :-
 There are large buffer stocks in laboratory in
order to avoid stock out situations of
reagents and other materials.
 Recommendations:-
 Laboratory needs a scientific method of
materials management like Lead time
consumption calculation and two bin system
of materials management.
