open24 hours a day to meet the de-
mands of consumerswho work irreg-
ular shiJts. The new hours start to-
day at 7 p.m.

Broad's Nevadadivision.

24-hour sales office because of the
large number of modelsavailable for
viewing and its high volume of
traffrc.
Kaufman & Broad began develop-
ing Monacoin July 1998and has sold
about 500 homesso far, accordingto
Don Russell, a sales representative
for the company. It will have 1,300
homesupon buildout.
The communitY has four villages
with one- and two-story homesrang-
ing from 1,200to 4,700 square feet.
Prices start in the mid-$120.000

rangeandgoto $320,000.
Russell said Monacois getting 40
to 45 buyers a month. The sales of-
fice already had longer hours than
most- from 7 a.m.to 7 p.m.- and
peoplewere still asking for extended
hours.
"On days when our staff stayed af-
ter hours to do paperwork, people
would knock on our dooraslate as 10
p.m. to seethe modelhomesand get
inforrnation,"Russellsaid.
