When I walked into the haunted house to explore it. The old porch was creaking I was shaking. As I walked it the door slammed behind me. I got
scared tried to open the door there was no budge. I ran to the back door of the house it was looked too there was no way I was getting out. I thought to
myself "this house is haunted".
I decided to look around the house and see what it was like. There were four bedrooms, two bathrooms, A kitchen, living room, and a den. I just figured
out there was a up and a down stairs. I decided to be brave and take a look up stairs. As I walked up the stairs the stairs creaked as i was shaking scared
that I would fall in. BOOM!!!!!!!, a loud noise I hear. The house was so scary I was feeling very sick I just wanted to get out! There was no way for
me to get out I was trapped. When I went upstairs to look there was a game room and bathroom and a little lap sitting on a table. I went more towards
the lamp. Zoom!!! The lamp slides off the table and hits the wall and breaks. I run down stairs shaking. I tripped over a loose board. I hit my head on
the stairs I felt like it was the end. After a few minutes I woke up in the basement I was thinking " How did I get down here". Then I looked up and I a
little boy was looking at me. He says " Are you ok"? I looked at him "yes thanks" for helping me. You look scared. Yes I am I came here to explore it. I
fell down the stairs and hit my head as the lamp fell off the table. Sorry about that was my dad

Descriptive Essay About A Beautiful House
It was an unusual quiet evening at my favorite diner. I always loved meeting my beautiful wife here after a long day of work to get some of
Chicago's best coffee. Upon opening the front door, the welcoming smell of freshly ground coffee fills my nostrils as I take a deep breath, but at
the same time, I lose my breath as I spot my stunning wife waiting for me. She was wearing a vibrant red dress, as she knows that it's my favorite,
while her hair shimmered in the light. "You alright?" My wife Sarah said while laughing. I quickly realized and wiped the drool that was
beginning to slide down my lip. "Why yes! You look beautiful!" I was quickly interrupted as a man in a suit shoved open the doors in a hurry. I
escorted Sarah and I to our seats to make sure that we weren't in his way. The man looked sleepy but at the same time upset as it looked as though
he had a rough day. "Give me the strongest thing you got." The man slurred to the tender. He quickly chugged the drink and demanded another one
almost instantly. "Are you alright, sir?" The tender cautiously asked as the man was clearly intoxicated. "I said I want another! I didn't come here to
make small chat!" The man stood up and yelled as he was clearly upset. "Sorry sir, but I'm afraid that I cannot give you another drink" The tender
said with strength. The man's face filled turned red as anger filled his eyes. "Screw this place! I didn't come here just to get told what and what not to
drink! I'm out

Descriptive Essay On My New House
I walked through my house one more time, saying a silent goodbye to each room, the only rooms I'd ever known. My parents' bedroom, which
contained my favorite hiding spot during our many Hide–and–Seek games–their closet, my sister's bedroom, where I had slept next to my grandma on
the pull–out bed in the years before my sister was born, my own room, with its ceiling of blue sky and yellow stars. The rooms where I had played,
laughed, cried. The street where I learned how to catch a baseball, ride a bike, drive my mini motorcycle. The backyard where my many pets–cats,
dogs, rabbits, had roamed. It was hard to comprehend that I would never live in this house again; seeing the once lively spaces now empty brought
countless memories back to me, overwhelming me with nostalgia. It was difficult to handle my conflicting inner feelings. On one hand, I was sad to
be leaving my childhood home, the keeper of countless secrets and memories, but at the same time, I was yearning to explore my new house and make
new memories there. I was intrigued by many of its characteristics, such as the fact that it was two stories–two story houses had always seemed much
more exciting than my one story house, where everything said and done could be heard and seen from almost every corner. As my mom drove my cat
and me on the twenty minute ride from the city of Antioch to neighboring Brentwood, even my cat's incessant meowing could not keep me from my
thoughts of what I was leaving behind; the only

Descriptive Essay On The House Of A House
When I was walking home from school I saw a house. This was no ordinary house I said to my friend. He agreed because the house was so eerie.
When we walked by it something moved and a box fell. When we saw that, we booked it and ran down the street to my house. When we got inside
we decided to go have a look inside. When we asked my mom if we could she said NO. We were still planning on going inside anyways. So the next
day we are going to go inside and stay the night there. We told my mom that I was staying the Night at Hunters house. Hunter told his Dad that he
was staying the night at my house. The house was really old and had some rotten wood on the outside. The windows were mostly broken and beat
down. The grass outside was about 3 feet high with fallen logs along the edge. The door has fallen off the hinges. The roof has a hole in it and the
shingles are gone. Most of the windows have boards across them. I think that there is a pool in the back yard that has rotten water/sludge stuff in it.
In general the house would need a lot of work to get it back up on its feet. Me and my friend Hunter can not wait to go explore the house. In just 2
simple hours we will be heading off to "Hunters house" and he will being staying the night at my house. Really we will both be staying the night in
the abandoned house. We are getting ready right now for the trip. We are going to bring a knife, a gun, snacks, medkit, flashlights, cameras, and extra
batteries. We are walking

Clink! Bang! Crash! The my closet is overflowing once again. My small house is maybe a little too small. I walked to the kitchen to get something
to eat. I see the kitchen closet is overflowing with pots and pans, again. The kitchen has a polished wooden floor easy to slip on if you're wearing
socks. Our kitchen is small, but big enough to put items on the shining counter. I looked out to our backyard, I spot some fluffy looking white bunnies
hopping along, eating the carrots I left out for them. I dragged my body down the long hallway to my mother and father's room. I complain, "This house
doesn't have enough space!" My parents look at each other with a depressed look and sigh, " We need to find a new house." The next morning it was
a Saturday, I got dressed in so comfortable clothes and headed towards the living room. I sat on the light brown colored couch. The couch had
different patterns, including the pillows. I picked up the remote and flicked on some TV shows. I was in the middle of watching a show, when
My mom and dad come to me with an excited look on their morning faces. The light came in, shining on them like they're on stage. There was a
long silence, you could hear a pin drop. I looked at my mom then dad and did it again. Until my dad finally spat it out, "We found a house were
going today and seeing it!" I felt my excitement was about to burst. At the end of the car ride, I stepped out the car door. I heard the crunch of the
rocks as I stepped

One place that I see every day but don't put much attention to is my house. The house that I live in is near by a park and a gas station. My house
is small and cozy is made of steel frames, the anterior part of the house has a beige and pink color that combine a beautiful shade. The inside of my
house has many portraits of family members and drawings. I have a total of two bathrooms and four rooms a kitchen and two living rooms. We have a
living room that's used for grown–ups and the other one is used for the children. The kitchen table and chairs are made of wood, in the ceiling there is
big chandelier. The walls of my house are painted in different colors that are green, beige and pink. I like that every room has its own different
color, it's not boring it brings life and shade. My house contains many memories of my childhood is where I grew up, I know every part of it and
its secrets locations. When I was a child I used to hide in the attic, nobody would found me because no one knew where it was. Every time I enter
my house I get a feeling of welcoming and comfort, leaving the house would make me sad. I celebrated many things like birthdays, baptisms and
graduations, it means everything to me. It's a huge piece that gives me safety and protects me from the rain, sun and winter. My house also has
protected me from the outside world and violence. I don't think I would ever want to move out, the walls have many scars from crayons and holes.

Haunted House Essay
High upon a lonely hill surrounded by a great dark forest, stood an ancient, crumbling manor, known as the Haunted House. The windows were all
smashed and it looked like the house was used a long time ago and was never used again. The font gates were as old as the hills. It belonged to a
greedy old man, he was as short as a stump, he was really grumpy and fat who everyone said he was a wizard. Even though he owned the immense
haunted house he didn't dare to go inside because he was frightened like a child in dark, so he lived in the small cottage in the grounds of the manor,
with just his black cat for company. He was as lonely as the master who has go to war, but hews happy, because he had a true love. His true love was

That night, Titan stepped through the rusty gates, as he did the surroundings seemed to change. The air became misty all of a sudden. The weather
became cold and when he looked towards the trees, it looked as if they were alive. He turned his concentration away from the trees, which did not
freak him at all, and continued his journey up the hill towards the house. Without hesitating, he unlocked the door and went in, as he went in the silent
still sinister house, the door slammed shut behind him slowly the gloomy light started fading. A butler appeared from nowhere, he was holding his
head under his arms like a ball in his hands. "Jeeves at your service, sir," he said, creepily. "Follow me." "Thank you, my good man," said Titan
excitingly, handing him his coat and following him up the creaking staircase without blinking an eye.
Ancient portraits followed him with their eyes like human eyes. Titan winked at them as he passed expressing his bravery. An empty suit of armour
waved at him. Titan waved back. "Good evening," he said. Jeeves led him on down a murky passage. A heavy door creaked open and they entered a
dark bedroom, with a tattered four poster bed. Cobwebs hung from the ceiling and a thick layer of dust covered the furniture. Titan opened the
wardrobe and a skeleton came

Descriptive Essay About A House
According to Dictionary.com, a house is a building in which people live, but a house is not that simple. Each room in a house serves a unique
purpose, and that purpose can vary from household to household. A family's use of their home can shape personalities and form the aspirations of its
members. For me, my home is a place where I have made so many memories and built strong relationships with my family. When I get home, I walk
into the house through the garage, which does not serve much of a purpose to me other than a place to keep my car in the winter and where my
dog sleeps at night. The first room I enter, which we refer to as the office, serves a dual purpose. On one side is a laundry/coat room, and the other
side is an office where my parents do all the paperwork for selling cars. I have spent countless hours using the computer in the office to play games or
do my homework.
Straight ahead is the stairs leading down to the basement, which is mostly used for storage. Other than two bedrooms, my sister's and my parents', the
basement is not furnished and does not have finished walls or flooring, so naturally, I viewed it as a terrifying dungeon while growing up. Through the
door and to the left is the kitchen, which to me, is more than simply a place to cook and eat meals. I consider the kitchen a place to bond with my
family. We spend lots of time in the kitchen baking together or telling stories about our day and discussing topics varying from politics to sports. I
always sit in the chair farthest to the left whenever I do my homework or eat. In the right corner of the kitchen is an archway that leads into the living
room. Every Monday night my family gathers on the couch to watch The Bachelor/Bachelorette or Dancing with the Stars. We also watch tons of
movies on Friday or Saturday nights and never miss a Harry Potter Weekend on Freeform. Being the competitive people we are, my family also has
family game night in the living room. Although it usually ends in an argument, we have so much fun playing cards and board games together.
Connected to the living room is the dining room, which serves an obscure purpose in our house. Rather than a place to eat dinner, it is where my mother,

Descriptive Essay About Home
My definition for home cannot be described by words or by a simple thought, but home is rather of a feeling. Home is the calmness and serenity
that settles over me like a blanket on a cold snowy night, just a silent assurance telling me I belong there. It took me quite a bit of time to
understand where exactly that place was, and I didn't know that the answer was always right in front of me. This feeling would come and go, and I
would never recognize it because I knew that only the house I lived in was my home. I never realized that the place I lived was not my home, that
home was in fact more than what the words in the dictionary say.

During lunch, my grandma and mother would cook in the kitchen and set up the food in the big picnic basket to later share with everyone. We would
walk along to the field and my job was to carry the cold water jug. As we reached the field, all the farmers would smile and greet us, and some would
even admire me for being such a helper. At lunchtime, I sat there along with all those workers, eating with them and listening. Their conversations
mostly consists of the weather and how they could improve the rice farm. Often, I would make a comment saying, "Don't worry, I will help", and they
loved me. I was the farm's little helper–––this was my home.
There was a tiny pond with a small bridge in beside our old house. The water was so clear that you could see your reflection, just like a mirror. The
summer was the fishing season; I was on a mission. I had my bright–pink, half gallon bucket in one hand and a little piece of mosquito net on the other.
I wore my shorts and my favourite T–shirt, with my long hair tied back, a true fisher look, I thought. I put my biggest toe in first to check the
temperature of the water, but I always ended up soaking myself all the way, up to my head trying to catch the fish–– now that's working hard! My
friends and I filled that bright–pink bucket full and our hearts were filled with the sense of

Descriptive Essay On My Family Home
In a small town called Whigham located in the southwest part of Georgia is a home numbered 201 in the middle of Harrell Avenue Northwest.
The home is shaded by a mighty oak tree, its exterior is white in color with a forest green metal door and window trim painted forest green to match
the door. On the outside this house is full of plant life, two domestic dogs that guard the home from morning to night, and wild animals living off
the provisions of the land. The inside of the house is full of geckos, family, and love. This is the house I was raised in since my mother and father
brought me home from Grady General Hospital in January 1991. This home will forever be my safety and my coziness.
This small family home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, one laundry room, a pantry with a dog kennel built on the side, a kitchen, and a coat closet
in the foyer. The entire house was located on one level except two of the bedrooms which is located down the stairs on the front of the house; the
bedroom to the left down the stairs was my room. My room walls were painted baby blue in color with a bright orange glass sun located over my
headboard that was shaped like skyscrapers in New York City. The carpet that was in my room was as soft as clouds and was milk chocolate brown in
color. The bonus to my bedroom was the walk–in closet that held my black wood book shelf, twelve pairs of shoes, twenty dresses, five pants, and my
brown wooden dresser with a mirror that had old engravings

I'm just getting in the door, and I say to myself "oh course it has to be a two story house." As I walk into the house I get shivers up my spine, and I
know something is in the house I just don't know what. As me being the curious one I know I have to keep going, and there I was standing in the
doorway of a "haunted house." I looked all through the living room, but I didn't see anything. I was as scared as a jack–rabbit that had heard the howl
of a wolf. I was just about to step on the first step, but I heard something run right past me. I turned around quicker than the speed of light, but then
again nothing was there. I walked all the way up the stairs, and I started looking in the rooms. In the last room I checked I saw something crouched
down in the corner.
All I saw was this black creature, and what looked like fur all over it's body. I saw glowing red eyes, and teeth sharp as razors. This creatures couldn't
have been more than three feet tall, but I can tell you it is the scariest thing I had ever see in my whole life. It came out of the corner, and I said to
myself, "I am so stupid, I should have know ghost aren't real," but I was completely wrong. What it really was a full grown black female English
Mastiff. It was a scary–ish dog, but I couldn't tell if she was nice, because she was growling at me. She had silver fawn eyes, and a black muzzle. I was
correct about the height, but the part where she looked scary was way off. I tried to get closer to her, but

Descriptive Essay On A Lake House
My skin soaking up the sun, the water splashing at my face, and the constant wind in my hair are my favorite little things while on the boat at my
lake house. As I sit on the boat I take in every stress free moment it offers to me. My lake house is on Shafer Lake, which is right in the middle of a
small town Monon, Indiana. Aside from living in Italy, this is where I picture my life after retirement. "Lake time is always a great time." Dad says.
"Lake time is always a great time." My little brother repeats after him.
July 5th 2016 was a very hot and very sunny day, it felt as if my skin was being cooked. My family and I went on the boat and hung out by the sand
bar all morning. It's mixed emotions being on the tube, considering the boat is going about 35 MPH, I'm on a tube in the wavy lake, connected by a
rope to the boat. It's hard to focus on one emotion. I'm excited and terrified all in one. Although we picture lake time always being a great time, that
July day was not a great time. I remember feeling as if our bodies were giving in to the sun so we decided to call it a day around 2 PM. We approached
the pier to pull the boat in. Our dock is a parking space in water surrounded by a wooden pier on the sides and the front. To prevent the boat hitting
from the sides, my brothers, my mom, and I will grab the sides of the pier as my dad steers it.
"Jess wake up!" My mother shouted in hopes I wake up to help dock the boat. My immediate response was to stick my leg out of

Descriptive Essay On The Old House
The old house has been abandoned for years but on one day I saw a light shine throw the old house window. I thought to myself wondering how
there was a light no one lives there. At least that's what I always thought.... One day I had decided to go to the old house to see if there really was
someone there I walked up to the house and I nervously moved my hand towards the door to knock I heard a big crash and, a loud scream like
someone was possessed so I ran back home. I told myself tomorrow I will go back to try again. So the next day I went back to the old abandoned house
to go knock on the front door and I saw a raven flying across the water. It was almost as if the raven was protecting the old house. For whatever may
be inside the old house.
I was so nervous but my mind was in a different universe telling me you must go inside the house and find out the truth of the old abandoned house. So
I keep on walking going towards the old house. My whole body was shaking in despite of what might be inside. Wondering to myself is someone in
there is someone hurt is someone getting killed whats going on all these questions running through my brain...
So I approached the door and I moved my hand to knock once then twice the door flung open and it was dark inside but I caught myself just
walking I could not stop I don't know why I keep on walking. Then I heard the scream again I ran up the stairs scared but I knew I could not stop so I
keep on running up stairs the stairs were getting

Description of My Room Essay
The place where I feel the most comfortable, and show my personality, is my bedroom. This is the place where I can really be myself and do what
I want; it's the place I come home to, and wake up every day. My room makes me feel comfortable because it is my own space. My house is always
crazy, with my dog barking, and my siblings running around making noise, my room is the only place in the house where I can come and relax
without caring about everything else, the only place that I can go to clear my mind.
My room has many characteristics of which I share; it has many pictures that I have taken, about my friends or other interesting things that I have
found. It is the only place that I can make my own, I can be creative and decorate...show more content...
Another reason that my room makes me feel comfortable is that I love to dance, but I am embarrassed to do it in front of other people, so
whenever I am in my room I can turn the radio and put on some of my favorite music and dance my best. My room gives me the confidence that I
don't have in other places, it helps me to have trust in myself, I can do the most ridiculous thing but my room won't say anything, it will never judge
me. My room is the only place where I will try new things and if I feel confident I will try them outside of it. I will give it my best and that is how my
room helps me, by doing something there first I believe more in myself.
It is the place where I can concentrate and think about everything that is going on around me, not only around my city or state, but all over the
world. I get the chance to relax and think in what I want to do with my life, the kind of future I want to achieve. My room is the place where I can
go and do my homework without getting distracted, where I can write down my feelings and open my mind to new ideas. Many times I have gone to
my room and just write about things that are going around in the world that will affect me sooner or later, like global warming. I will think about
everything I have heard, and my room makes me feel comfortable like there is nothing that can stop me from making a comment and saying what is on
my mind.

Descriptive Essay On The Abandoned House
The Abandoned house stood there, with fog rising to the sky. Lights flickered being the only light in the dark..... The fog dragged a cold breeze, that
sent a chill up my spine, this house has been here forever and nothing like this has ever happened before, I gulped and strolled into the cold night
fog. As I approached the house, the door slowly opens and a Shadow steps towards me. The weather just dropped like 40 degrees, I don't like this at all.
I turned on my flashlight, it was the first thing that came to my mind. As, the bright light flashed its way on, were the "shadow" I saw a couple
seconds ago was gone, it must have gone back into the house have to check this out. I decided to go into the "Haunted Mansion", I walked in and
every step I took, the wooden floor made a loud "CREAK!!!" The lights are so dim, that you can't see anything far away into the darkness, this was
literally a maze. I walked until I noticed there was a staircase heading up to this second floor. I took a couple steps towards the stairs then All of
sudden, the most creepiest sound in history of sounds filled my ears, it was the sound of tiny footsteps of children running around... I took one step onto
the stairs and it made a huge noise. Then the running noise stopped. I listen, my heart stopped......
The Children I heard a couple minutes ago skipping around, were now sprinting down the stairs in my direction then, the worst thing happened, they
started slowing down they started saying....

What is Home? Essay
What is home? If one looks in a dictionary the answer would come out to be, "The place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a
family or household." However, for anyone who has had an actual home, they would know that such a term goes much beyond its concrete
description. It is an impassioned aspect filled with values and foundation of nurturing. A home is not just an abode built to live in; in fact, that is
just a definition of a house. Home is a place where one not only feels comfortable, but a place they look forward to opportunely live in every day. A
home is built not by bricks or wood, but with the bond of family. A home is a place that reminds aperson of countless memories and values when he

Family is what makes a house a home; this statement is undeniably precise. A person could have every material entity in the entire world, but it
would mean nothing if he does not have someone to share it with. In other words, home is also semantically related to sharing the happiness, grief,
and material things with one's family. A home gives people a place to care about the people that mean the most to them. It is a place to tell
amusing tales, a good story, or make memorable memories with one another. Furthermore, home is more than a place; it is a feeling. It is a feeling
of contentment and happiness that they share with the ones they love. Moreover, home is when one knows they are with people that can drive them
insane in a second, and the same people can make them happy in a second as well. Home means that no matter what one is going through, no matter
how challenging life gets, there will be someone looking out for them. One knows that a place is their home when they are comfortable enough to
present a true description of themselves, because they know that they will receive definitive acceptance. It is a sanctuary for them where they can do
anything they please and not be judged afterwards. It is where one can share the absurdity of their day without any remorse or repercussions. The
reason why people say that a person only has one true home is because one will

My Dream House Essay
What I Call Home
In life everyone has their own dreams, whether it be about cars, houses, or their career. Most people I know dream to have the biggest and luxurious
houses but I was always satisfied with mine. My house is not a tiny apartment nor a huge mansion but a two story, plain brown brick cozy house with
white painted doors. The front yard is decorated with beautiful flowers; roses, lilies, violets, dahlias, daisies and much more, my mother usually plant
them. She says, "Flowers are a pleasure and perfection of nature, and they give many things to people, and it does not matter if you are rich or poor,
they give you a wonderful world which makes you feel happy". It definitely makes her and our neighbors happy. She shares the...show more content...
After dinner, majority of the time everyone goes out or straight to their rooms but occasionally we'll sit in the living room and watch television

a cottage. There are four black leather couches and a wooden coffee table that sits in the middle. My mother usually makes tea or coffee for us. She'll
also bring out a bowl of sliced fruits, nuts and put it on the coffee table. After watching a movie or soap opera on satellite, everyone goes to their
room and gets ready for bed. In the mornings when I wake up, the first thing I tend to do is step outside to my backyard to get a nice fresh air. My
backyard is fairly big, also one of the main reasons why my parents decided to buy it. There's a little slide door in the dining room that leads to a
dark brown deck. You'll see a green patio table, chairs and a barbecue. Also, in the corner of my backyard you'll see a small portion of the yard
fenced. That's my mothers garden, where she grows tomatoes, peppers, onions, eggplants, parsley, lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers and many others
that I can't recall. Both my dad and my mom love to grow organic vegetables and fruits. Around my backyard you'll also see a raspberry bush, pear,

Descriptive Essay About My New House
I looked back at my house, the green peeling paint on the door, the ripped screen door, the huge window at the top of the house, from which you
could see into my room, and I only had one thought, this is no longer my home. I tore my gaze away from the house and entered the car. The floor
had so much of our boxes and suitcases, I was forced to lift my feet so I could fit. My neighbors weren't home yet, so I wasn't able to say goodbye
to them. I wished they were there. I'd always been really close with my neighbors. They took care of me when my sister was born, and waited for
my grandpa to take me to the hospital. I was especially close to the neighborhood kids; ever since I could talk they came over almost every week. I
wondered if my new neighborhood would be like this. The engine vroomed to life and away from the beautiful, old house we went. In less than ten
minutes, we arrived at my new house. The front was undeniably gorgeous. The grass was not the yellowish brown brought on from the drought,
instead it was a lively green that I had dreams about running in. The fall leaves around the trees enhanced the feeling of Christmas soon to come and
the stairs leading up to the front door were clean. They had no muddy footprints that I was so used to seeing on my concrete. I walked up the steps
slowly. I had a half–witted hope that if I moved slow enough I'd end up back at the Azusa house. I didn't move slow enough. I walked through the
doorway and into a corridor type area

Exploring a Haunted House

  • 1. Descriptive Essay On A Haunted House When I walked into the haunted house to explore it. The old porch was creaking I was shaking. As I walked it the door slammed behind me. I got scared tried to open the door there was no budge. I ran to the back door of the house it was looked too there was no way I was getting out. I thought to myself "this house is haunted". I decided to look around the house and see what it was like. There were four bedrooms, two bathrooms, A kitchen, living room, and a den. I just figured out there was a up and a down stairs. I decided to be brave and take a look up stairs. As I walked up the stairs the stairs creaked as i was shaking scared that I would fall in. BOOM!!!!!!!, a loud noise I hear. The house was so scary I was feeling very sick I just wanted to get out! There was no way for me to get out I was trapped. When I went upstairs to look there was a game room and bathroom and a little lap sitting on a table. I went more towards the lamp. Zoom!!! The lamp slides off the table and hits the wall and breaks. I run down stairs shaking. I tripped over a loose board. I hit my head on the stairs I felt like it was the end. After a few minutes I woke up in the basement I was thinking " How did I get down here". Then I looked up and I a little boy was looking at me. He says " Are you ok"? I looked at him "yes thanks" for helping me. You look scared. Yes I am I came here to explore it. I fell down the stairs and hit my head as the lamp fell off the table. Sorry about that was my dad Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay About A Beautiful House It was an unusual quiet evening at my favorite diner. I always loved meeting my beautiful wife here after a long day of work to get some of Chicago's best coffee. Upon opening the front door, the welcoming smell of freshly ground coffee fills my nostrils as I take a deep breath, but at the same time, I lose my breath as I spot my stunning wife waiting for me. She was wearing a vibrant red dress, as she knows that it's my favorite, while her hair shimmered in the light. "You alright?" My wife Sarah said while laughing. I quickly realized and wiped the drool that was beginning to slide down my lip. "Why yes! You look beautiful!" I was quickly interrupted as a man in a suit shoved open the doors in a hurry. I escorted Sarah and I to our seats to make sure that we weren't in his way. The man looked sleepy but at the same time upset as it looked as though he had a rough day. "Give me the strongest thing you got." The man slurred to the tender. He quickly chugged the drink and demanded another one almost instantly. "Are you alright, sir?" The tender cautiously asked as the man was clearly intoxicated. "I said I want another! I didn't come here to make small chat!" The man stood up and yelled as he was clearly upset. "Sorry sir, but I'm afraid that I cannot give you another drink" The tender said with strength. The man's face filled turned red as anger filled his eyes. "Screw this place! I didn't come here just to get told what and what not to drink! I'm out Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Descriptive Essay On My New House I walked through my house one more time, saying a silent goodbye to each room, the only rooms I'd ever known. My parents' bedroom, which contained my favorite hiding spot during our many Hide–and–Seek games–their closet, my sister's bedroom, where I had slept next to my grandma on the pull–out bed in the years before my sister was born, my own room, with its ceiling of blue sky and yellow stars. The rooms where I had played, laughed, cried. The street where I learned how to catch a baseball, ride a bike, drive my mini motorcycle. The backyard where my many pets–cats, dogs, rabbits, had roamed. It was hard to comprehend that I would never live in this house again; seeing the once lively spaces now empty brought countless memories back to me, overwhelming me with nostalgia. It was difficult to handle my conflicting inner feelings. On one hand, I was sad to be leaving my childhood home, the keeper of countless secrets and memories, but at the same time, I was yearning to explore my new house and make new memories there. I was intrigued by many of its characteristics, such as the fact that it was two stories–two story houses had always seemed much more exciting than my one story house, where everything said and done could be heard and seen from almost every corner. As my mom drove my cat and me on the twenty minute ride from the city of Antioch to neighboring Brentwood, even my cat's incessant meowing could not keep me from my thoughts of what I was leaving behind; the only Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Descriptive Essay On The House Of A House When I was walking home from school I saw a house. This was no ordinary house I said to my friend. He agreed because the house was so eerie. When we walked by it something moved and a box fell. When we saw that, we booked it and ran down the street to my house. When we got inside we decided to go have a look inside. When we asked my mom if we could she said NO. We were still planning on going inside anyways. So the next day we are going to go inside and stay the night there. We told my mom that I was staying the Night at Hunters house. Hunter told his Dad that he was staying the night at my house. The house was really old and had some rotten wood on the outside. The windows were mostly broken and beat down. The grass outside was about 3 feet high with fallen logs along the edge. The door has fallen off the hinges. The roof has a hole in it and the shingles are gone. Most of the windows have boards across them. I think that there is a pool in the back yard that has rotten water/sludge stuff in it. In general the house would need a lot of work to get it back up on its feet. Me and my friend Hunter can not wait to go explore the house. In just 2 simple hours we will be heading off to "Hunters house" and he will being staying the night at my house. Really we will both be staying the night in the abandoned house. We are getting ready right now for the trip. We are going to bring a knife, a gun, snacks, medkit, flashlights, cameras, and extra batteries. We are walking Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Descriptive Essay About My Small House Clink! Bang! Crash! The my closet is overflowing once again. My small house is maybe a little too small. I walked to the kitchen to get something to eat. I see the kitchen closet is overflowing with pots and pans, again. The kitchen has a polished wooden floor easy to slip on if you're wearing socks. Our kitchen is small, but big enough to put items on the shining counter. I looked out to our backyard, I spot some fluffy looking white bunnies hopping along, eating the carrots I left out for them. I dragged my body down the long hallway to my mother and father's room. I complain, "This house doesn't have enough space!" My parents look at each other with a depressed look and sigh, " We need to find a new house." The next morning it was a Saturday, I got dressed in so comfortable clothes and headed towards the living room. I sat on the light brown colored couch. The couch had different patterns, including the pillows. I picked up the remote and flicked on some TV shows. I was in the middle of watching a show, when My mom and dad come to me with an excited look on their morning faces. The light came in, shining on them like they're on stage. There was a long silence, you could hear a pin drop. I looked at my mom then dad and did it again. Until my dad finally spat it out, "We found a house were going today and seeing it!" I felt my excitement was about to burst. At the end of the car ride, I stepped out the car door. I heard the crunch of the rocks as I stepped Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. A Descriptive Essay About My House One place that I see every day but don't put much attention to is my house. The house that I live in is near by a park and a gas station. My house is small and cozy is made of steel frames, the anterior part of the house has a beige and pink color that combine a beautiful shade. The inside of my house has many portraits of family members and drawings. I have a total of two bathrooms and four rooms a kitchen and two living rooms. We have a living room that's used for grown–ups and the other one is used for the children. The kitchen table and chairs are made of wood, in the ceiling there is big chandelier. The walls of my house are painted in different colors that are green, beige and pink. I like that every room has its own different color, it's not boring it brings life and shade. My house contains many memories of my childhood is where I grew up, I know every part of it and its secrets locations. When I was a child I used to hide in the attic, nobody would found me because no one knew where it was. Every time I enter my house I get a feeling of welcoming and comfort, leaving the house would make me sad. I celebrated many things like birthdays, baptisms and graduations, it means everything to me. It's a huge piece that gives me safety and protects me from the rain, sun and winter. My house also has protected me from the outside world and violence. I don't think I would ever want to move out, the walls have many scars from crayons and holes. The floor needs remodeling but Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Haunted House Essay High upon a lonely hill surrounded by a great dark forest, stood an ancient, crumbling manor, known as the Haunted House. The windows were all smashed and it looked like the house was used a long time ago and was never used again. The font gates were as old as the hills. It belonged to a greedy old man, he was as short as a stump, he was really grumpy and fat who everyone said he was a wizard. Even though he owned the immense haunted house he didn't dare to go inside because he was frightened like a child in dark, so he lived in the small cottage in the grounds of the manor, with just his black cat for company. He was as lonely as the master who has go to war, but hews happy, because he had a true love. His true love was gold, and he had...show more content... This fellow looked fellow looked a bit to fearless for the wizard's liking. That night, Titan stepped through the rusty gates, as he did the surroundings seemed to change. The air became misty all of a sudden. The weather became cold and when he looked towards the trees, it looked as if they were alive. He turned his concentration away from the trees, which did not freak him at all, and continued his journey up the hill towards the house. Without hesitating, he unlocked the door and went in, as he went in the silent still sinister house, the door slammed shut behind him slowly the gloomy light started fading. A butler appeared from nowhere, he was holding his head under his arms like a ball in his hands. "Jeeves at your service, sir," he said, creepily. "Follow me." "Thank you, my good man," said Titan excitingly, handing him his coat and following him up the creaking staircase without blinking an eye. Ancient portraits followed him with their eyes like human eyes. Titan winked at them as he passed expressing his bravery. An empty suit of armour waved at him. Titan waved back. "Good evening," he said. Jeeves led him on down a murky passage. A heavy door creaked open and they entered a dark bedroom, with a tattered four poster bed. Cobwebs hung from the ceiling and a thick layer of dust covered the furniture. Titan opened the wardrobe and a skeleton came Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Descriptive Essay About A House According to Dictionary.com, a house is a building in which people live, but a house is not that simple. Each room in a house serves a unique purpose, and that purpose can vary from household to household. A family's use of their home can shape personalities and form the aspirations of its members. For me, my home is a place where I have made so many memories and built strong relationships with my family. When I get home, I walk into the house through the garage, which does not serve much of a purpose to me other than a place to keep my car in the winter and where my dog sleeps at night. The first room I enter, which we refer to as the office, serves a dual purpose. On one side is a laundry/coat room, and the other side is an office where my parents do all the paperwork for selling cars. I have spent countless hours using the computer in the office to play games or do my homework. Straight ahead is the stairs leading down to the basement, which is mostly used for storage. Other than two bedrooms, my sister's and my parents', the basement is not furnished and does not have finished walls or flooring, so naturally, I viewed it as a terrifying dungeon while growing up. Through the door and to the left is the kitchen, which to me, is more than simply a place to cook and eat meals. I consider the kitchen a place to bond with my family. We spend lots of time in the kitchen baking together or telling stories about our day and discussing topics varying from politics to sports. I always sit in the chair farthest to the left whenever I do my homework or eat. In the right corner of the kitchen is an archway that leads into the living room. Every Monday night my family gathers on the couch to watch The Bachelor/Bachelorette or Dancing with the Stars. We also watch tons of movies on Friday or Saturday nights and never miss a Harry Potter Weekend on Freeform. Being the competitive people we are, my family also has family game night in the living room. Although it usually ends in an argument, we have so much fun playing cards and board games together. Connected to the living room is the dining room, which serves an obscure purpose in our house. Rather than a place to eat dinner, it is where my mother, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Descriptive Essay About Home My definition for home cannot be described by words or by a simple thought, but home is rather of a feeling. Home is the calmness and serenity that settles over me like a blanket on a cold snowy night, just a silent assurance telling me I belong there. It took me quite a bit of time to understand where exactly that place was, and I didn't know that the answer was always right in front of me. This feeling would come and go, and I would never recognize it because I knew that only the house I lived in was my home. I never realized that the place I lived was not my home, that home was in fact more than what the words in the dictionary say. When I was younger, I lived in the Philippines, my backyard were the rice fields and I would...show more content... During lunch, my grandma and mother would cook in the kitchen and set up the food in the big picnic basket to later share with everyone. We would walk along to the field and my job was to carry the cold water jug. As we reached the field, all the farmers would smile and greet us, and some would even admire me for being such a helper. At lunchtime, I sat there along with all those workers, eating with them and listening. Their conversations mostly consists of the weather and how they could improve the rice farm. Often, I would make a comment saying, "Don't worry, I will help", and they loved me. I was the farm's little helper–––this was my home. There was a tiny pond with a small bridge in beside our old house. The water was so clear that you could see your reflection, just like a mirror. The summer was the fishing season; I was on a mission. I had my bright–pink, half gallon bucket in one hand and a little piece of mosquito net on the other. I wore my shorts and my favourite T–shirt, with my long hair tied back, a true fisher look, I thought. I put my biggest toe in first to check the temperature of the water, but I always ended up soaking myself all the way, up to my head trying to catch the fish–– now that's working hard! • 10. Descriptive Essay On My Family Home In a small town called Whigham located in the southwest part of Georgia is a home numbered 201 in the middle of Harrell Avenue Northwest. The home is shaded by a mighty oak tree, its exterior is white in color with a forest green metal door and window trim painted forest green to match the door. On the outside this house is full of plant life, two domestic dogs that guard the home from morning to night, and wild animals living off the provisions of the land. The inside of the house is full of geckos, family, and love. This is the house I was raised in since my mother and father brought me home from Grady General Hospital in January 1991. This home will forever be my safety and my coziness. This small family home has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, one laundry room, a pantry with a dog kennel built on the side, a kitchen, and a coat closet in the foyer. The entire house was located on one level except two of the bedrooms which is located down the stairs on the front of the house; the bedroom to the left down the stairs was my room. My room walls were painted baby blue in color with a bright orange glass sun located over my headboard that was shaped like skyscrapers in New York City. The carpet that was in my room was as soft as clouds and was milk chocolate brown in color. The bonus to my bedroom was the walk–in closet that held my black wood book shelf, twelve pairs of shoes, twenty dresses, five pants, and my brown wooden dresser with a mirror that had old engravings Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Descriptive Essay On A Haunted House I'm just getting in the door, and I say to myself "oh course it has to be a two story house." As I walk into the house I get shivers up my spine, and I know something is in the house I just don't know what. As me being the curious one I know I have to keep going, and there I was standing in the doorway of a "haunted house." I looked all through the living room, but I didn't see anything. I was as scared as a jack–rabbit that had heard the howl of a wolf. I was just about to step on the first step, but I heard something run right past me. I turned around quicker than the speed of light, but then again nothing was there. I walked all the way up the stairs, and I started looking in the rooms. In the last room I checked I saw something crouched down in the corner. All I saw was this black creature, and what looked like fur all over it's body. I saw glowing red eyes, and teeth sharp as razors. This creatures couldn't have been more than three feet tall, but I can tell you it is the scariest thing I had ever see in my whole life. It came out of the corner, and I said to myself, "I am so stupid, I should have know ghost aren't real," but I was completely wrong. What it really was a full grown black female English Mastiff. It was a scary–ish dog, but I couldn't tell if she was nice, because she was growling at me. She had silver fawn eyes, and a black muzzle. I was correct about the height, but the part where she looked scary was way off. I tried to get closer to her, but Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Descriptive Essay On A Lake House My skin soaking up the sun, the water splashing at my face, and the constant wind in my hair are my favorite little things while on the boat at my lake house. As I sit on the boat I take in every stress free moment it offers to me. My lake house is on Shafer Lake, which is right in the middle of a small town Monon, Indiana. Aside from living in Italy, this is where I picture my life after retirement. "Lake time is always a great time." Dad says. "Lake time is always a great time." My little brother repeats after him. July 5th 2016 was a very hot and very sunny day, it felt as if my skin was being cooked. My family and I went on the boat and hung out by the sand bar all morning. It's mixed emotions being on the tube, considering the boat is going about 35 MPH, I'm on a tube in the wavy lake, connected by a rope to the boat. It's hard to focus on one emotion. I'm excited and terrified all in one. Although we picture lake time always being a great time, that July day was not a great time. I remember feeling as if our bodies were giving in to the sun so we decided to call it a day around 2 PM. We approached the pier to pull the boat in. Our dock is a parking space in water surrounded by a wooden pier on the sides and the front. To prevent the boat hitting from the sides, my brothers, my mom, and I will grab the sides of the pier as my dad steers it. "Jess wake up!" My mother shouted in hopes I wake up to help dock the boat. My immediate response was to stick my leg out of Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 16. Description of My Room Essay The place where I feel the most comfortable, and show my personality, is my bedroom. This is the place where I can really be myself and do what I want; it's the place I come home to, and wake up every day. My room makes me feel comfortable because it is my own space. My house is always crazy, with my dog barking, and my siblings running around making noise, my room is the only place in the house where I can come and relax without caring about everything else, the only place that I can go to clear my mind. My room has many characteristics of which I share; it has many pictures that I have taken, about my friends or other interesting things that I have found. It is the only place that I can make my own, I can be creative and decorate...show more content... Another reason that my room makes me feel comfortable is that I love to dance, but I am embarrassed to do it in front of other people, so whenever I am in my room I can turn the radio and put on some of my favorite music and dance my best. My room gives me the confidence that I don't have in other places, it helps me to have trust in myself, I can do the most ridiculous thing but my room won't say anything, it will never judge me. My room is the only place where I will try new things and if I feel confident I will try them outside of it. I will give it my best and that is how my room helps me, by doing something there first I believe more in myself. It is the place where I can concentrate and think about everything that is going on around me, not only around my city or state, but all over the world. I get the chance to relax and think in what I want to do with my life, the kind of future I want to achieve. My room is the place where I can go and do my homework without getting distracted, where I can write down my feelings and open my mind to new ideas. Many times I have gone to my room and just write about things that are going around in the world that will affect me sooner or later, like global warming. I will think about everything I have heard, and my room makes me feel comfortable like there is nothing that can stop me from making a comment and saying what is on my mind. • 17. Descriptive Essay On The Abandoned House The Abandoned house stood there, with fog rising to the sky. Lights flickered being the only light in the dark..... The fog dragged a cold breeze, that sent a chill up my spine, this house has been here forever and nothing like this has ever happened before, I gulped and strolled into the cold night fog. As I approached the house, the door slowly opens and a Shadow steps towards me. The weather just dropped like 40 degrees, I don't like this at all. I turned on my flashlight, it was the first thing that came to my mind. As, the bright light flashed its way on, were the "shadow" I saw a couple seconds ago was gone, it must have gone back into the house have to check this out. I decided to go into the "Haunted Mansion", I walked in and every step I took, the wooden floor made a loud "CREAK!!!" The lights are so dim, that you can't see anything far away into the darkness, this was literally a maze. I walked until I noticed there was a staircase heading up to this second floor. I took a couple steps towards the stairs then All of sudden, the most creepiest sound in history of sounds filled my ears, it was the sound of tiny footsteps of children running around... I took one step onto the stairs and it made a huge noise. Then the running noise stopped. I listen, my heart stopped...... The Children I heard a couple minutes ago skipping around, were now sprinting down the stairs in my direction then, the worst thing happened, they started slowing down they started saying.... • 18. What is Home? Essay What is home? If one looks in a dictionary the answer would come out to be, "The place where one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household." However, for anyone who has had an actual home, they would know that such a term goes much beyond its concrete description. It is an impassioned aspect filled with values and foundation of nurturing. A home is not just an abode built to live in; in fact, that is just a definition of a house. Home is a place where one not only feels comfortable, but a place they look forward to opportunely live in every day. A home is built not by bricks or wood, but with the bond of family. A home is a place that reminds aperson of countless memories and values when he walks through a...show more content... Family is what makes a house a home; this statement is undeniably precise. A person could have every material entity in the entire world, but it would mean nothing if he does not have someone to share it with. In other words, home is also semantically related to sharing the happiness, grief, and material things with one's family. A home gives people a place to care about the people that mean the most to them. It is a place to tell amusing tales, a good story, or make memorable memories with one another. Furthermore, home is more than a place; it is a feeling. It is a feeling of contentment and happiness that they share with the ones they love. Moreover, home is when one knows they are with people that can drive them insane in a second, and the same people can make them happy in a second as well. Home means that no matter what one is going through, no matter how challenging life gets, there will be someone looking out for them. One knows that a place is their home when they are comfortable enough to present a true description of themselves, because they know that they will receive definitive acceptance. It is a sanctuary for them where they can do anything they please and not be judged afterwards. It is where one can share the absurdity of their day without any remorse or repercussions. The reason why people say that a person only has one true home is because one will Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. My Dream House Essay What I Call Home In life everyone has their own dreams, whether it be about cars, houses, or their career. Most people I know dream to have the biggest and luxurious houses but I was always satisfied with mine. My house is not a tiny apartment nor a huge mansion but a two story, plain brown brick cozy house with white painted doors. The front yard is decorated with beautiful flowers; roses, lilies, violets, dahlias, daisies and much more, my mother usually plant them. She says, "Flowers are a pleasure and perfection of nature, and they give many things to people, and it does not matter if you are rich or poor, they give you a wonderful world which makes you feel happy". After dinner, majority of the time everyone goes out or straight to their rooms but occasionally we'll sit in the living room and watch television together. My living room is probably the coziest place in my house. The walls are partially decorated with pieces of wood. It resembles the interior of a cottage. There are four black leather couches and a wooden coffee table that sits in the middle. My mother usually makes tea or coffee for us. She'll also bring out a bowl of sliced fruits, nuts and put it on the coffee table. After watching a movie or soap opera on satellite, everyone goes to their room and gets ready for bed. In the mornings when I wake up, the first thing I tend to do is step outside to my backyard to get a nice fresh air. My backyard is fairly big, also one of the main reasons why my parents decided to buy it. There's a little slide door in the dining room that leads to a dark brown deck. You'll see a green patio table, chairs and a barbecue. Also, in the corner of my backyard you'll see a small portion of the yard fenced. That's my mothers garden, where she grows tomatoes, peppers, onions, eggplants, parsley, lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers and many others that I can't recall. Both my dad and my mom love to grow organic vegetables and fruits. Around my backyard you'll also see a raspberry bush, pear, peach, cherry, apricot, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Descriptive Essay About My New House I looked back at my house, the green peeling paint on the door, the ripped screen door, the huge window at the top of the house, from which you could see into my room, and I only had one thought, this is no longer my home. I tore my gaze away from the house and entered the car. The floor had so much of our boxes and suitcases, I was forced to lift my feet so I could fit. My neighbors weren't home yet, so I wasn't able to say goodbye to them. I wished they were there. I'd always been really close with my neighbors. They took care of me when my sister was born, and waited for my grandpa to take me to the hospital. I was especially close to the neighborhood kids; ever since I could talk they came over almost every week. I wondered if my new neighborhood would be like this. The engine vroomed to life and away from the beautiful, old house we went. In less than ten minutes, we arrived at my new house. The front was undeniably gorgeous. The grass was not the yellowish brown brought on from the drought, instead it was a lively green that I had dreams about running in. The fall leaves around the trees enhanced the feeling of Christmas soon to come and the stairs leading up to the front door were clean. They had no muddy footprints that I was so used to seeing on my concrete. I walked up the steps slowly. I had a half–witted hope that if I moved slow enough I'd end up back at the Azusa house. I didn't move slow enough. I walked through the doorway and into a corridor type area Get more content on HelpWriting.net
