An effective organization encourages healthy dissent of ideas. An open
dialogue is vital for preventing large scale disasters down the road.
Hard charging CEOs need to balance their strategic and financial goals
and aspirations with practically feasible outcomes. They should not
ignore the feedback of their Product Development, R&D, Engineering,
Regulatory, Quality Control and Manufacturing teams. While the
feedback from these teams is usually looked upon with contempt by
the Executive Team, we recommend CEOs not to ignore their advice.
These teams know the practical challenges and can save the company
from many customer & regulatory setbacks. So, listen to them!
