FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
COMPASS
Denver, CO – KidsTek thanks Courtney Wade in her continued work with COMPASS (Community of Many
Providing After School Success).
The partnership between KidsTek and COMPASS is now in its 8th
year, making it one of KidsTek’s longest
running relationships. KidsTek has always been proud of this partnership and much of its success has come
due to its longest running instructor, Courtney Wade.
Courtney has always displayed a strong sense of empathy for each student she works with, and believes in
building a community within the class. Courtney understands how to work with children in an effective
manner, something that every teacher strives to achieve. She has remained strict in her approach, setting
high standards while providing an approachable and safe place for her students.
Andrew Bissland, KidsTek’s Program Director had this to say: “Courtney is halfway through her fifth school
year with KidsTek. She has become an invaluable member of our team. She has excellent classroom
management skills and a great rapport with the students. Kids often return to her classes, signing up for
multiple class sessions in a row!”
Her dedication and approach toward learning has resulted in a popularity amongst students that has seen
her single class turned into two – one for new students and an advanced class for students who keep coming
back. Explained Recreation Specialist Paul Smith, “Courtney’s KidsTek class has grown over the last three years
from one class offered two days a week to two classes offered all four days a week! The foundation she was
able to establish from her first class has created a place where students love to be after school and are eager
to learn more! Courtney’s enthusiasm for teaching and dedication to the program does not go unnoticed.
We appreciate all that she means to the COMPASS After School Program at Mrachek Middle School.”
Courtney has always understood what it takes for students to succeed. She consistently develops creative
tech projects that exercise the minds of her students. She has worked with kids possessing a wide range of
skill sets and life challenges, and is great at adapting projects for their specific needs. But perhaps most
importantly, Courtney brings with her a can-do attitude, and is a person who absolutely adores each and
every one of her students.
KidsTek’s partnership with COMPASS has never been more lucrative, for both the students involved and the
community as a whole. So far, KidsTek has donated more than one hundred computers to COMPASS
students, providing them with the resources needed to compete at an educational level and the knowledge
required to prepare for a future of technology and communication. KidsTek is proud to celebrate the efforts
of Courtney Wade and each of its staff members that make all of this possible.
