▪ Coordinated and provided comprehensive care for pediatric sickle cell patients in the inpatient and
outpatient settings
▪ Responsible for the evaluation and coordination of care for 8-10 patients per day in the sickle cell disease
outpatient clinic. Managed both sickle cell disease and generalpediatric primary care concerns, prescription and
monitoring of high risk medications, coordination of care and evaluation for patients undergoing chronic monthly
blood transfusions, and education of patients and families.
▪ In the inpatient setting, responsible for evaluation and coordination of clinical care for all hospitalized sickle cell
patients (6-12 patients per day) on the floor and/or PICU as welladmission of all sickle cell patients from the
emergency department.
