to the history of the University of
Florida. Prior to the re-establishment
of the Alpha Eta Chapter, I really
never expressed much interest in
joining a Greek society at UF. After
researching the organization and
reflecting on the unique opportunity
presented before me, it became ap-
parent that Pi Kappa Alpha offered
both an extraordinary and rich col-
lege experience. Ultimately, I decid-
ed to join Pike in order to contribute
to this rare opportunity presented
to me. Not only would I become a
member of a world-renowned or-
ganization, but I would help lay the
foundations and traditions for the
future generations of Pikes at The
University of Florida. That is truly an
awesome experience I wanted to
partake in.
How many members do you hope
to have by Fall 2011?
I would hope to see a our broth-
erhood incorporate roughly 150
members by the end of fall 2011. It
will be an arduous task to recruit to
such a high number, but I am very
confident in our ability to obtain a
brotherhood of such size.

New President of the Alpha Eta Chapter
The vision for Alpha Eta is very
bright. With a brotherhood close to
exceeding 100 active members
our potential is vast. I foresee our
chapter contending for various IFC
awards and competing for our or-
ganization’s most prestigious award,
The Smythe ward. With a growing
brotherhood and increased involve-
ment in all aspects of the Greek
community, Alpha Eta is well on its
way to establishing a solid founda-
tion for its future years at UF.

Consequentially, I try to bolster my
involvement by integrating myself
and others into as many IFC and
Panhellenic activities as possible.
Our brotherhood constantly moves
toward strengthening itself by fol-
lowing our fraternity’s ideals and
mentalities. My involvement largely
stems from my constant desire to
better the fraternity and its mem-
bers so that we can successfully
accomplish our objectives.
