• Mary & Martha sisters lived with their
brother Lazarus
• Jesus along with followers came
• Mary sat at Jesus feet
• Martha prepared food ,looked after
guests& grew fed up & complained to
Jesus
• Jesus declared Mary chose “the better
part”

3. Who Do You Identify With!
• Which sister was right-Mary or Martha
• Mary-Sat at the feet of Jesus-
o did nothing
o living in heads
o neglecting own share of work
• Martha –prepared food-role
o Obsessed
o humorless
o getting worked on nothing
• We as human nurture both- events ,roles & choices
pushes us to be more like one sister.
• Balanced & harmonious life requires that we nurture both
