This document provides guidance for positive coaching. It emphasizes understanding your purpose as a coach which is to develop athletes to their full potential while teaching life lessons beyond just sports. A coach's role goes beyond just knowing the game to include being a motivator, teacher, role model, and emotional manager. Coaches must have skills like unconditional love, positive discipline, consistency, and the ability to praise and criticize calmly. They should lead through positive leadership by respecting players and parents, encouraging all abilities, and avoiding punishment or putting players down. Coaches must also have passion for sports and interactions, teach the value of competition, sportsmanship and handle winning in a healthy way.
