Technologies, Inc.
Present a One Day Seminar
“Helping Research Facilities Achieve Safe, Energy Efficient &
Sustainable Laboratories”
Owners and operators of laboratory buildings have several objectives including:
Provide safe environments for researchers and laboratory facility occupants
Provide reliable and stable environments conducive to high quality research and development
Minimize energy consumption, operating costs and green - house gas emissions
Facility managers, Environmental Health and Safety personnel and laboratory managers have a
challenging responsibility to safely meet these objectives. This intensive one day seminar and training
session is designed to help managers and owners to:
Understand the fundamentals of proper laboratory design and the challenges of operating and
maintaining complex laboratory HVAC systems and controls,
Learn about selecting, installing, operating and testing chemical fume hoods and other types of
ventilated exposure control devices to ensure safe and efficient operation,
Identify opportunities to safely reduce energy consumption in labs,
Plan and execute safety and energy optimization projects,
Develop and implement a Laboratory Ventilation Management Program to ensure continued safe
and efficient operation of the laboratories and minimize risk of exposure and liability
